Suggestion: Naming Planets

Would it be feasible for those who take possession of a planet (via customs offices) to name their planets?

It would add more realism and richness to the Eve realm, if the planets had actual names. Shocked

While this would be cool, eventually every planet would be named something obscene or Game of Thrones spoilers.

Also, POCOs tend to change hands on a regular basis so the new owner would want to change the name! Creates a lot of work for very little reward.

This is so very true but also so very saddening. Straight On the other hand, I also do not believe that CCP has much interest in these things. A couple of months ago, I noticed that they removed all Region descriptions and placed a mere "Region" in the description tab of the regions. Ever since my bug report, nothing has happened in that regard. I find this even sadder.

They might change hands often, but if you do not want to name your planet after a takeover, it just reverts back to the standard Planet I-XXII.

They weren't removed, they just aren't being displayed due to a bug. But it really is sad that it seems to be such a low priority bug.
