Expanding the EVE Cluster -- a Modest Proposal

I've seen several suggestions by people on increasing the number of solar systems in the EVE cluster. But if we really feel a need for more places to which we can warp, why not take a page from reality?

Let us add dwarf planets. Add a couple of hundred spots per solar system and the cluster will seem so much larger!

Astronomer Mike Brown of CalTech maintains a list of dwarf planets in just our own solar system:
http://web.gps.caltech.edu/~mbrown/dps.html

Dr. Brown's list shows the following as of yesterday.
Quote:
As of Sun Oct 4 2015
there are:
10 objects which are nearly certainly dwarf planets,
23 objects which are highly likely to be dwarf planets,
48 objects which are likely to be dwarf planets,
88 objects which are probably dwarf planets, and
384 objects which are possibly dwarf planets.

See? Instant expanding universe, just add dwarfs. Shocked

(Later we can talk about pirate jump gates to brown dwarfs and burnt out cinders of stars. Pirate )

I tlike the idea, and in truth I think the planets as a whole could use a little love from CCP.

But what would they actually do, besides be another dropdown of places to warp to when you want a low effort dscan perch?

Why? The current planets are already completely useless. With the exception of PI, but even that needs some attention.

"What would you do" is what I usually think when people talk about expanding the cluster.

Now, me, I'd make it harder (but not impossible) to use probes to locate someone around a dwarf, because of background clutter. And I'd likely want something like archaeology and something similar to asteroid mining or moon goo mining (though more the former than the latter).

But then I'm not fully convinced that we need to expand the cluster. I'd just like it this way if we did so.
