Best spot to report bugs if I desire back-and-forth discussion w/ CCP?

One of the things I love to do is report 100% reproducible bugs and help make software (Eve) better.

One of the things I hate is when those reports go into a black hole, and I get nothing more than an auto-response or a generic reply that tells me nothing about acknowledgement or status of the problem.

Where is the best place to submit things I am 100% certain are bugs in Eve, that I can reproduce, AND someone from CCP will shoot me a quick follow-up along the lines of "Awesome - thanks", or "I couldn't repro this... can you tell us how you did this?"

You know, something that initiates a lightweight, friendly, on-going dialogue (not necessarily real-time). I am legally blind so I might have missed the place to go in the forums here. I'm also worried that if I file a generic support ticket, it won't be taken seriously or may take forever to get to.

Thanks all!

Not sure there is one at the moment, but I seem to recall reading that CCP plan to make the current process far more open very soon (I could be wrong).

Grrr.

Not sure if you'll get replies on bug reports. CCP uses volunteers to sort through the list of bugs submitted by players and triage them, and the bug hunters use one of the test servers to replicate the bugs, before submitting the valid ones to CCP QA devs. So if you want to get recognition and validation of your bug hunting efforts, apply to join the ECAID team.

In case you are not aware, here are some links on the bug reporting situation. If you have these then please accept that they are posted for others who may not know how to report a bug.

Jst my thoughts and experiences.
CCP does not routinely discuss on going actions with those who report them unless they need further information.
You may not have heard anything because there may be nothing to report. Meaning that yours may still be waiting to work to the top of the to do list.

It may just be me but I do not expect or even want to here from a dev when I report what I think is a bug. I want the devs to spend their time killing bugs not writing stupid feel good letters to me telling me I was a good boy for reporting the bug. Besides if you can reproduce the bug 100% of the time you can test it for yourself every time there is an update and see if it is fixed.

It's really important to motivate people to continue to expend the effort and time to produce bug reports and repros. That can't happen without a simple acknowledgement system.

I'm not looking for a feel-good letter from a dev. I'm looking for a 5-second response (with follow-ups if they need more info) that could be one of:
A: The bug is ack'ed and will be worked on at some point
B: The bug is ack'ed but marked as a won't-fix
C: Dev can't repro, needs more info.

My time is valuable - I'd like to know if the effort to repro and report a bug is actually well-invested. I have no way to know that if I don't get a response from someone who can make an authoritative call. Additionally, it dis-incentivizes me to expend the effort to report bugs in the future if I'm not told "Got your report. Yup, looks legit but we can't repro 100% of the time."

I want attention from the devs too; they should thank me for each useful post I make in this forum and all the newbies I've attracted to the game by being nice and informative.

Yeah... that won't happen.

You want to report bugs, report bugs. You feel "disincentivized," then don't report. Shrug.
