So....... yeah. Whatever happened to it? I need some new clothes(thong).

Do not assume anything above this line was typed by me. Nerf the Truth, it's inconvenient.

Same thing as all CCP features

2 weeks of half assed work, implemented on the TQ in an unfinished state and then completely ignored to chase something shiny.

Horribly overpriced vanity items that didn't sell because they were horribly overpriced. CCP then gave away free AUR so people could buy the horribly overpriced vanity items for free and eventaully keep buying the horribly overpriced vanity items with their own money but this plan also backfired because they were horribly overpriced.

I DO like the idea, (i am obviously wearing 2 pieces of nex stuff)

but considering were aurum comes from and pricing? no WAY too high, they need to bring prices down so the monocle isn't worth 2 dreadnoughts WELL-FITTED P

or you know failing THAT, they could just close down the store completely and make the NeX stuff standard...

but a minor suggestion CCP (know its not the right place but adding...), what about officer caps? you know like the one the LP store icon general has, maybe that matches the navy shirts.

hats would be very awesome Big smile

Precisely. Only a small amount of people bought one (people with a lot of cash but not a lot of brains) as they cost $70.

Before it's release the NeX generated a certain amount of anticipation and controversy. Unfortunate for those who were eagerly awaiting the NeX the items were so outrageously priced as to utterly destroy their enthusiasm for this new feature save for those few with so much isk and that are the types that actually believe Nigerian scams who went straight for the gold standard in NeX product lines, the monocle. CCP having totally over-estimated the demand for virtual goods and their own ability to develop new technologies for WoD that didn't require super-computers to be able to render more than one avatar and one small room promptly concluded two things: 1) Not enough people were willing to shell out +$30 for virtual stuffs and 2) even fewer people can afford supercomputers to render more than one avatar and one small room. As such, the WoD developmental team was canned and along with them development on WiS and the NeX ceased. Afterall, both WiS and the NeX were testing features being developed for WoD.

And that is why the NeX is languishing.

correction, no sane person spends THAT much money on cosmetic items in ANY game, dumb insane people spend that kind of money on advanced weaponry, not a friggen monocle.

my gear was bought on the market for low prices (40 mill is not alot of money guys, even if i don't make that much every day right now)

anyways... i think the basic idea can work... the aurum costs need to be deflated, i thought CCP tested economic theroy when planning? oh well

I agree with this 100%. Right now, it costs $6.66 per 1000 AUR. If this was brought down to about $2.50 per 1000 AUR, CCP would see a big increase in people buying vanity items. If it was brought down to $1 per 1000 AUR, i'd bet nearly everyone would buy vanity items (I know I would buy every item I can wear because i'm a completionist).

I could use a nice pair of laser proof slacks*, and some dress boots...the girls get good dress boots. The guys have a Walmart discount construction crew executive style.

EDIT: Something in black for those board meetings.

You're an ass. If they don't bring in thongs in the next NEx update, i'm unsubbing. There has to be some sort of business attire in the store and thongs fit the bill.

Idea: Thongs with socks so they don't have to make any new textures and make toes. Lol
