EVE support broken??

Trying to log a support ticket and it does this


Oh Dear!

An error occurred.


User is invalid: Email: has already been taken




I don't even have to type anything in to the text boxes. I did change my e-mail address but its not associated with any other account.

anyone have any dea what is happening here.

Eve support is broken whether or not you can file a ticket.

I have always had pretty good response from the support group, I will admit I haven't posted too many tickets though.

1 ticket is all you need, multiple tickets about the same issue will just slow the process down.

I never log more than 1 per problem, my issue at the moment is I can't even post the first one

From the op it's suggests you are trying to use an email address that is on the system and not attached to the account you are using to create the support ticket.

Since the post occurred during downtime (11.02) I suspect the absence of a server to connect to might be the issue.

Hi Bjorn,

I've seen this happen only once before and that was also related to an email address change. Couldn't for the life of me replicate the error at the time but your case gave me some new ideas.

Anyhoo, I've messed a bit with the support system and you should hopefully be able to log in now, although let's clear your session before, just to be on the safe side, so before logging into the support site again, please click here.

If that fails however, just send an email to helpcenter@eveonline.com roughly describing the issue and we'll see if we can't crack this thing together mate. Make sure to mention that CCP Zeulix asked you to be in touch. If it doesn't get assigned to me right away I can still find the ticket and snatch it up. :)

Thanks for your response, everything seems to work now and I have logged the ticket. Never did anything different this end so either whatever you have done has worked or it just decided to co-operate today. Thanks again for your time, I have always had good response from EvE support so just ignore all the haters out there as I think someone stole all their sweets while they weren't looking.

Glad to hear it's all sorted out mate and assuming my hunch pans out, we'll have a permanent fix for this later today. :)
