So ive been training amarr ships and amarr support skills for years. i have maxed out skills for almost all support skills, and yet, no matter what i do (especially for burner missions) amarr ships just seem to be slower/unable to complete missions. it seems like the other factions can do missions much faster and have an easier time. Also, for PVP, it does seem like the other factions have a better time at PVP then amarr ships. Is this because amarr ships are shoved into a very niche play style or is it because the other factions are just better at combat?

geddon, navy apoc, legion, damnation, retribution, Oracle, prophecy, confessor, redeemer, ARCHON, guardian, augorer navy, navy slicer, Devoter, curse, purifier, avatar off the top of my head.

Yea, Amarr is not lacking in pvp ships.

Amarr ships also excel in PvE in Amarr space for the most part.

Ok First the amarr has the Paladin... which is arguably one of the better PvE ships.
Next for burner missions use a vengance... (prob one of the 'best' frigs for this)

PvP ... in no particular order... Guardian, Slicer, both ceptors, Sentinal, Confessor, Omen Navt Issue, Legion, Archon, Geddon... All incredibly powerful in their own right... And they're just the ones that come to mind first....

Also not really the place for this... ('ships and modules' -----> that way)

All the ships mentioned above and don't forget the Arbitrator, a very nice T1 cruiser with good E-War bonuses.

And of course the mighty Armageddon, one of the few Battleship still worth to undock for pvp.

Vengeance is a good little pve ship, but yeah better against the right rats, as with any ship.. I also fly a Nightmare, hard to go wrong with that. There are quite a few popular Amarr ships.

I've never done a burner mission with a Vengeance, but I'd imagine it'd do well. Lately I mostly use mine for combat exploration, and the ship being one of my fav desktop wallpapers Smile

I'm in it for the money

Are you kidding, there's nothing that comes close to the geddon as a neut boat for its price, hell was in a 35 man geddon squad last week (and we weren't the only such squad in the fleet) and most/all alliances have it as a doctrine ship. The paladin doesn't have an equal (in the marauders at least) when it comes to many of the missions in amarr space and it's the best marauder/only BS that can solo C5-6s. The guardian is the doctrine logi of most armor fleets. It's the same for many amarr ships, same as many ships from the other races. Every race has ships that excel in certain areas and many ships excel in different ways in the same areas.

The Oracle is the best DPS ship for Micro Gang in the Game. By far.

Guardian is the best T2 Logi for large fleets.

Augor is I would say the best T1 Logi. (imo due to low sig, high capabilities, and great capacitor capabilities when you have at least 2 or 3 in the fleet.)

TL;DR: Amarr ships not commonly used for burner missions, therefor they are sub-standard in general.

I'm sure this makes sense with the appropriate amount of hallucinogens.

The first three obvious "that's bait" ships are amarr (baddon, prophecy, maller).
Arguably the best fleet armour logi are amarr (guardian, archon)
The best armour buffer is all amarr (pic a ship, anyone really)
Neut bonuses combined with obscene armour buffer...kinda hard to overstate how good that is.

Scortch

I know I have said neut bonuses but , neut bonuses man!

The Legion.

The Paladin.

Clearly sub par....gib buff?

amarr ships are pretty good. some are not so good for solo since amarr often lacks the med slots but overall fairly balanced.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

I feel like you can make the same argument for Minmatar and Caldari ships in the current Gallente meta.

Amarr and the other races have some really excellent overall boats but many more that are good situationally or in supporting roles. Lack of mid slots especially tends to focus Amarr frigates and cruisers towards fleet roles or kiting.

Gallente on the other hand have ships in every class that can be fit multiple ways and really can be good at everything.
