Eve already has a corporate shares section, so why not make these publicly trade able on an open market.

* The open market will decide the corporate stock value.
* A tab could be added to the corporate view window to see previous months dividend payments.
* To take it a step further this could be used as a means to raise corporate isk, by offering seed round, round A, and round B etc.

Because that's not what the current shares are. The current corporate shares section are legacy code.
Also because EVE corporations don't make real products the way real corporations do. Individual players are the ones who produce everything.

Also, shares allow for opening votes. Like, revoking current CEO. I'm pretty much sure no one want to make those shares public.

Shares should be allowed to use contracts for sales/transfers. This would facilitate a shares market with some measure of trust in the system.
