Things are heating up in Amarr space. The Empress is whizzing around while Drifters are spawning by the hundreds.

Almost five years ago, the cluster faced a similar threat. Huge balls of Sansha's Nation ships burned through the cluster in CCP-triggered events, paving the storyline in the months leading up to the Incursion release and automated Sansha incursions. In response, we formed the Fleet Coordination Coalition. A group of pilots from all walks of life, who stood ready to defend the cluster from the Sansha menace.

After four years of silence, FCORD is being reactivated. Our veteran FCs have fought this fight before, but we're now gathering all interested pilots.

We coordinate public fleets, organized in the Live Events channel. Everyone is welcome, whether you are a hardcore RPer or someone who just wants some gudfites. I can't guarantee there's money or glory in it, but it's damn fun.

Tl/Dr; Spectre fleets, but for drifters. FC'd by people who have done this before. Join the Live Events channel!

We were not inactive ... having hunted Heth, etc. since the Sansha events.

We also have the recent attack on a Lai Dai convoy to consider. As the ships involved were Caldari, these may have been Heth loyalists. Capsuleers active in the area are urged to report any similar, suspicious fleet movements.

Shh, feu. Let me write my sensationalist propaganda in peace :D. Yeah, I guess we've been 'active' to an extent, but not nearly in a full military mobilization like what's going on now.

Per request, some info on our planned doctrines. As we don't know exactly what the drifter threat will be like, we've thought of some different scenarios. Critiques welcome!

Scenario: Mass Drifter Ball

 • Situation: 30+ groups of Drifter BSes ongrid, neutral until aggressed
 • Response: Maximum amounts of high-damage, low-tank ships of any size, with stasis web support.
 • Primary ships: Pure damage-fit, fully-insured t1 ships of any size, particularly with high tracking/good damage application. Attack battlecruisers, missile and drone cruisers, and destroyers all welcome.
 • Low-skillpoint option: Incredibly cheap dual-web tackle frigates, Atron/Condor/Executioner/Slasher fit like this.
 • Niche Ships: Dedicated kiters (6k m/s+), skirmish links.
 • Concept: Drifters in these numbers can one-shot any ship ingame. Tank is irrelevant. Our goal will be to bring as many ships as possible and have a straight-up DPS slugfest. Expecting heavy losses on both sides. The kiters will try to bait drifters into a good range, webbing frigates will hold them down, and DPS will do what they can.

Scenario: Small Drifter Group

 • Situation: 1-5 Drifter BSes ongrid, neutral until aggressed
 • Response: High-buffer shield Cruiser, but BCs are welcome for people that can afford it.
 • DPS Ships: Shield buffer, fully-insured t1 BC/Cruiser. Good damage application. Caracals, Drakes, Ruptures, Cyclones, etc..
 • Logi Ships: Ospreys and scythes. Bias to ospreys, but Drifter DDs might disrupt cap chains.
 • Niche Ships: Dedicated kiters (6k m/s+), siege links.
 • Concept: We're focusing on shield due to drifters' high alpha. Shield has a much more forgiving response time than Armor does. Although I don't doubt that armor could be effective, we're going to keep these fleets low-skill friendly.

There's a high chance of also fighting other groups of NPCs/Capsuleers. We're currently discussing how we're going to respond to those.

Hey guys, any idea on specific fits for the osprey/scythe section, I'll happily bring paired ospreys, but would like to have an idea of the fit you want?

For posting an idea into F&I: come up with idea, try and think how people could abuse this, try to fix your idea - loop the process until you can't see how it could be abused, then post to the forums to let us figure out how to abuse it..... If your idea can be abused, it WILL be.

As a former close associate and non aligned capsuleer that has maintained ties to FCORD, I hereby once more pledge my support and skills at the full disposal of those countering the Drifter threat to the colonized citizen sectors. I will also state my pledge in the FCORD channel as well here shortly.
