Ok, now I know what you meant. Yes, that can be imported via crest, but it is still your order, so it's not taken into account while determining competitor's price => there is no competitor price data.
Ok cool, we're there. So can that just say "No competition" with a green tick instead of "No price data" with a yellow exclamation mark? As it stands now it's confusing as it's put across as if it's negative, when it's a good thing as it means your order is being used.

Nope, because we don't know if there is competition or not. When I put a "no competition" text there, I bet I'd get error reports when there will be competition, just not downloaded. "No competition price data" is a better alternative, but it's very long. I'll see how it fits the GUI.

After much technical problems, first with CCP Static Data Export, then internal, the new version is out. Before digging into the details, there is a very important piece of information:

This is the first version which uses the new installation system, which allows for better update experience and more multiplatform support (if the multiplatform installer comes out). This means you MUST MANUALLY UNINSTALL THE PREVIOUS (1.32 or earlier) VERSION FIRST! Don’t worry about your data – it will not be deleted (if you have synchronization enabled, you are double safe). If you don’t uninstall the previous version, you will end up with two installed.

Now, onto the changelog:

  • [new] sorting by volume in order views
  • [new] ability to minimize the Margin Tool
  • [fixed] not counting top item in assets
  • [fixed] CCP broken date export in logs
  • [changed] Aegis database
  • [changed] clearing market analysis selected items after every version update
  • [changed] not showing price delta on missing price data
  • [changed] using new update process on Windows

Thanks for reporting it. Seems like those files are missing from the installation package. Fortunately, with the new system, all is needed is an update to the server repository and everyone with that problem can simply try to install again.

Of course. It's still actively developed.

Glad to hear it, I wanted to review it with a partner, but the test site from your video seems to be offline?

Hmm, test site? There never was a test site for the Alliance Market.

If you follow the link above, there is a Youtube Video, that has a link to http://test.raikia.com that worked as recently as 2 weeks ago.

That's the link to the previous application on which the Alliance Market is based. It's long been dead.

Why is Crest asking for my EVE user name and password when i try to import prices ? sounds like goon tricks to me

Because market orders are behind authed crest. Ccp Foxfour said it would change in the future, but no info has been on that topic since then.

Great tool, really cuts down on some of the mundane aspects of trading.

I have a problem however, when trying to import data for market analysis the majority of times it hangs here:

http://i.imgur.com/2gGwPTw.png

and then I have to nuke the process to close the application. I've got the data to only go through 3 times over the last week.

Any ideas or has this got nothing to do with Evernus itself?

Other questions if you have time:

I get accurate results from "import prices from web" but how does "Import prices from logs" work? I get that the market orders are imported from exporting them from the game client but where can I export accurate price logs from, if at all?

I guess this is more of a script question but is there a way to filter out duplicate, but intended, sell orders?

If price import hangs, well, blame ccp. If you are routed to a busy server, your requests won't get any response and eventually time out, or you'll get a bunch of errors. You can try to decrease the Crest thread count in the preferences or just wait and try again later.
Game logs can be exported by the export button near the place buy order button. Note, if you have the margin tool open with auto deleting logs checked, your logs will get deleted before you manage to manually import them.

I observed strange behavior of Evernus on my PC. After some time of working in background it starts to consume whole CPU core (http://i.imgur.com/LDcwTQZ.png).
When I restart it (i.e. close it and open again) everything goes back to normal.
Can't put my finger what action causes it. Might it be related to automatic API refresh?

Could be. Evernus generally tries to fetch things as fast as possible and sucks resources until satisfied.

OK

I've downloaded the installer. Installed the program.

Get error message "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

Yes, I've tried to open the program as administrator. And I am my PC's admin.

I try to uninstall the program.

I get: "You do not have sufficient access to uninstall Evernus. Please contact your local administrator"

I'd love to try the program out and see how it goes and give an honest review. However, I seem to have hit a snag. Can you help me out here?

That seems to be a problem with your local privileges, not with Evernus itself. I don't really know how to help you with that. Maybe reinstall into some other directory or something.

Amazing tool. So happy I found this!

One minor question (or possibly, request): Is there a way to change the amount by which an outbid order is adjusted? If so, I guess I didn't find the setting, if not, any chance you could add that as a variable in a future release?

I like to vary the amount to undercut, usually: higher if the order total is higher. Reason being: orders with a value in the millions that are all 1 ISK (or even worse, 0.01 ISK) apart kind of annoy me and I tend to "punish" that in other sellers by picking the second cheapest or so offer. To avoid that happening to myself, it'd be great to change the amount to undercut.

You can do it in the price preferences.
