More like drifters are the new content, eh. And why we're doing the same missions 5 to 10 years after they came out~~

Well for me the drifter AI is the hinge point for CCPs development for new NPC content. If successful and modable enough I can foresee a golden era for new NPC PvE AI content that could span a lot of things... but thats just me being wishful in some aspects. The problem with missions is writing them and balance. More of the same with the lame storyline write ups wont impress anyone at this stage and only new AI were fewer ships can be decent adversaries in a more "pvplike" atmosphere has been what players have consistently called for over the years. The Burners and Drifters imo can be the start of such development, or are the start of. What comes next out of the data dumps CCP has on them will likely dictate future development in that PvE area.

And then yes replacement of the old outdated systems like incursions or L4s will continue. But like all things development will be slower than players will want. You also have to remember that as much as players complained about the lack of "good" PvE more actually complained when anything new PvE was given to the foul carebears rather than the uber leet PvPers, and then complained how broken it was by whoring badly and continueing to exploit it for years. I think this led to some stagnation on CCPs part to reward the vocal portions of the community, much like the WiS issue. And its forced CCP to shelve a lot of content changes for several years. But Im impressed with a lot of the changes and the potential it can create from CCP in the past little bit. Now it remains to ride it out or leave in frustration that its not all happening "NOAW!!" imo.

As for Sansha himself, as stated in the article I linked, he is likely a clone and has more clones hidden away. You can't stop him. Insane? no. Genius? most likely. imo a good story-line, something to not be removed but to at some point accelerate.

I'd like to see Sansha adapt some new technology to progress his plan. After all, in EVE, players don't raid the NPC's, NPC's raid the players. *Sansha moves to Burn Jita by new technology to carry out hit-and-run gorilla tactics*
Can you imagine if suddenly everyone at Jita 4-4 were ejected into space after Sansha momentarily hacked life support making it in so close?

They really ought to start winding down some content in some way.

FW then incursions in my view

No sure about winding down missions but a fresh update would be nice.

Literally not for any 'buttmad at l33t isk' reason but for continuity universe evolving reasons.

Just take 0.0 politics for example. Empires come and go.. who could have foreseen the fall of the rock solid NC in 2007? Or the sudden disbanding of BOB.. etc

Nothing is forever and just cramming new content isn't healthy imo

Wind down FW then Incursions, then ramp up the drifter threat, expand WH/Thera and then focus on whatever that massive supergate thing we saw in that trailer recently..

(clarification: NC looked invincible in 2007 I am aware that it didn't crumble then)

I would love for the current incursion community to disappear and replaced with a another high sec funding source.

Dunno. If their new AI is any indication...NPC's chasing people around star systems or constellations...it could be that incursioners would have more to worry about being gate camped by angry NPCs rather than opportunistic gankers.

I'm not part of the incursion stuffs but I have to say this has a heck of a lot of potential to shake things up.

It's time to make incursions more of a random event. I.e once a month or two

Good - Crashing each other's LP markets might actually make people look elsewhere for income streams. Having lucrative income streams in high sec literally asphyxiates content from every other region of the game.



Except not replaced at all. Any changes to low or null are largely meaningless so long as HS continues its monopoly on accessible, available, and safe income streams which exceed those found in low and null.
