So i've having an arguement with some of my friends on viablity of doing C4 ratting sites solo in Maradur or a Tengu.

True or False?

I've actually tried to find on internet some answers but except few youtube videos which i dunno if they really are C4 i didnt find answers.

Would love to hear from WH veterns if possible.

Marauders can solo C4s pretty easy (Kronos my be the exception due to projection issues). Tengu needs to be very bling fit to solo them. Rattlesnakes can solo them pretty well though as said.

There is a nice stickied thread called 'what i should use to kill sleepers' up near the top of the wh sub-forum. Have a wee look there for more info.

Elaborate? Active tanking wount cut it? How long it takes per a site?

Frontier Barracks takes 13-15 min in a Solo Paladin.

The performance from passive tanking ships are terrible.

Also ive checked thread above. Doesnt give alot of examples of c4 fits. Also whats RR POST FIX ive seen several times

Since RR Patch passive rattlers have a tought time breaking the RR Tank of some spawns. From what I have heared, the performance of a passive Rattle in C4 solo dropped a lot when RR was fixed for the NPCs.

Afaik the toughest wave is the third in barracks (many preservers), they rep something close to 800/s it feels like. Once tried being smart and shoot a cruiser first, but his armor wasn't dented much by just 1300dps... Going for BS first is a lot easier.

With 3 RR tengus you can run every 100%er without any trouble. Dont need to be bling bling.

Solo dont means , you have not more chars :p

And he asked for RR so he need minimum 2 Chars.

I understood he asked because of RR of the sleepers, which was patched (last year?)? Because many videos and fittings belonging to the time before RR on NPCs was patched and therefore are not reliable anymore probably.

And solo means solo in that case. Otherwise he would have pointed out to be able to fly with a wingman ...

Yes. Pure solo for max isk. Preferably ina tengu cause i saw youtube video with freaking t2 tengu doing this and ive always heard its impossible so something must changed. Im sure someone here eho does c4 that can confirm or deny the visbility of solo tengu no links no second account etcetc.

Because often those people don't tell you about links or wormhole effects ;)

I doubt you can do nowadays C4 in a T2 Tengu with acceptable performance.

Confirmed. Solo tengus without links or second accounts are full visible, assuming of course they're not cloaked. Lol

Since RR got fixed, and having flown 100MN AB Tengus in C4s for far too long prior to the RR patch, don't waste your time doing it with just 1 tengu. You'll need more than the 5-600ish dps you'll get from Heavy Missiles to break a lot of them.

Marauders should still do fine, and Rattlers are still working (unless you suck/poor).

I'd suggest doing C3s if you want to do solo, 1 character only, unless it's a Marauder.
