Systems Security Status doesn’t seem to matter anymore.

It’s the Wild West out there. Everywhere.

So why is it that a person flashing red, criminal, in local, is allowed to even dock? Even flashing Suspect?

They shoot at someone, rob them and then go sit in the Bank across the street until you and the Cops leave out of frustration. The Bank is even going to allow them to leave that stuff there after they leave, that's a minor detail.

Why is it that person, that has negative standings towards a Corporation, even a Negative Security Status, is allowed to dock at those Stations?

They should have to earn the right to be able to Dock up there. Or if they are allowed to dock then they can’t use ANY services there. Contracts, oh well. Repair facilities, to bad. Even risk getting their ship and cargo confiscated or impounded by the Corporation depending on the negative standing. Then have to leave in just a Pod.

If they want to gank that’s fine. But they should have to risk their own Orca’s, Bowheads, POS’s and other Support ships. And then be ready to fight off people with kill rights, Bounty Hunters and the Hired Mercenaries. They should have no Safe Haven and be limited to districts intended for people that are socially and ethically irresponsible.

i agree, but people here will argue "concord is retribution force not a police force", "Mega corps don't answer to concord/faction police", "sec status doesn't matter to mega corps" etc.

I do think that there should be a fee or fine based on your sec status/corp standings in high sec, plus additional fees for suspect/criminal flags. If you can't pay, you can't dock. Oh look another isk sink!

Roll

Oh, look. It's this thread again. My counter proposal is for CCP to set everyone who breaks Rule 17, and all alts on their accounts, to -5.1 sec status for posting redundant ****.

Also, reported for redundancy.

The same reason that nations continue to have productive relationships after one has done something heinous - it's the cost of doing business.

That would make so much sense for the corporations who own the stations and want our isk. Roll

So you're saying we should have to undock our orcas, bowheads, etc? Unless you know something I don't, we have to undock to do the wonderful things we do.

Bear in .8/.9, get better response times from concord. There is your meaning to sec status in empire.

recommend a tank on boat to live to see this happen. I'd be looking at rattler here. Empire bears best friend, or high on that list. Its already not high on their preferred hit lists. if they say screw it...it may even live the gank Go passive tank to include resists amps. Its as close to neut resistant you will get damn near. Good enough for level 5's at any rate.

Or me I like hard to probe tengu as well. Used to be my un-probable fit.

There are no level 5's in hisec.
There are almost no level 4's in .8/.9
Missions send you to other systems which are not .8/.9
There are no un-probable fits anymore. Scanning buffed, tengu nerfed.
Alpha ganks are available even in 1.0

null is a lot safer than hisec. Wanna be safe? Go join some blue donut corp.

Does the blue donut have artificial colors? Or is it made with natural blueberry extracts?

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

It's supposed to be.

My thoughts precisely.

High sec is fine as it is, we do not need more restrictions to those on the criminal side of life.

Besides that if they bother you go do something about them. You can legally shoot anyone in high sec that had -5.0 or lower standings and Concord will not bother you, and you will not get any other form of penalties.
See it is the players that are supposed to deal with this not CCP, we have the tools, all you need to do is make use of them.

We need at least one restriction to start with.

If they only pilot free ships, they are loss immune. Even if you shoot them, it's just a free ship and a free pod. They get into another and move on, nothing happened. You can shoot thousand of them, and do no damage.

This won't go with just one "nerf" naturally, needs a lot more than one. Removing free ships from the equation, removing the stupid ease of it, giving some real consequence for being a criminal - look, at least three.

Ganking has took buff after buff for the last years. Time to put it into a row.

And as soon as your back in system for retribution. They run to the nearest station, dock up and wait until you leave local or just log off. Even with 3 guys its near impossible to get them. They just warp to their insta-dock.

Then what else? Waste my money placing a bounty on them? Or give away my kill rights, that I really want to use? So they can have a podding party with their alts after DT?

Something I've just realized is that if you want your aggressor to be unable to dock and actually face consequences of messing with you, then you can always go to null or wormholes.

Honestly, player interaction in non-hisec makes so much more sense if you think about it. Less arbitrary stuff feels good.

Personally I would like to see the concord response time be more liquid and have it be based on not only the sec status of the system, but also the relative sec status of the ganker vs gankee. This in itself would truly bring a purpose to sec status for both the ganker and the gankee.

I'm sure the international carebear union would agree to this, but only in the case of a -10 ganking a +5. The slower response time in the case of a -1 ganking a +1 would be intolerable and they'll either talk about going on strike or talk about how ganking is comparable to [insert assorted, genuinely horrific RL acts here]. Either way, they'll post on the forum so your idea is bad. :)

System security have never mattered. Maybe you've just come to realise this now. Nowhere is safe, nowhere should be safe.
