Wrecks created in 0.0 systems (null & WH) should not be yellow to those who did not create the wrecks.

Introduce ALT-drag to PI so all extractor heads can be moved at once.

Increase size of overheat buttons.

When right clicking drones in your hanger new option 'send to ships drone bay' quantity window pops up if needed.

Forums ate my post. Anything worth typing usually takes time; kind of like saying something in Old Entish

Friendlier more condensed UI with Classic options for those players that prefer it.

Examples:

Remove pop-up notifications and replace with useful icons, sounds, graphical displays on player ship, etc...

EWAR timer on enemy ship could be changed o blinking icon on enemy player ship, with new HUD feature showing appropriate module with cycle timer and color-coded inner ring to show strength of effect. No color means that you are currently unaffected.

Move EWAR indicator on overview to in front of ship type or playername in column. Make semi-transparent, yet obvious.

Replace Overview headers with icons or abbreviated tags. Radial Velocity is a bit long to header that column, so why not just RV or an appropriate icon like a circle tracer around a V.

Warp Scrambling notification could be replaced by electrical arcs running across your hull and dimming of lights on your ship, coupled with the previous idea of HUD modifications. Webbing effects could be identified by shortening engine trails and flare-outs on your engines.

Drive disruption indicators shown through graphical changes to your ship, but redundantly available through HUD icons and overview indicators.

Add a scrolling message box to the top of the screen-moveable but default left-that gives damage notifications, generic messages about FW targets entering system, or more useful notifications. Choose which notifications to turn off or on.

So if I don't like or see a neccessity for drone notifications I can turn them off and remove the log and overview clutter. Even if it is just on my message box text scrolling thing.

FW or bad-guy entering system notification is super irritating. Why do I here this? Navy Blast me with a warning meant for his ears alone, and pop-up notification to boot. If anything, I should see a message on the afforementioned messaged bar that a hostile entity is in system in cautionary yellow text if I'm FW, and standard blue text otherwise. Generally speaking it has nothing to do with me, and I don't feel like being screamed at.

Change the chat window to a simplified scrolling message box like the other, but bottom left with angular tabs to change current chat on the bottom. Nice and small. Add a chevron to open a settings tab to change various features of the chat or restore classic mode.

edit: Localize chat to stations and append chat to replace the station icons. This will make chat in HUBs like Jita local to individual stations and not seen system-wide. Thus Jita 4-4 has a chat window on the station info, or alternatively on a panel in the CQ which can be read by interested parties, yet is seperate from system local which would show on your scroll bar.

Give the option of switching between localized station chats with tabs in the station info chat window. That way players can sit in another station and participate or watch the chat going on in another.

Remove contract links from appearing in System local, Constellation, Region or Help/Rookie chats. Most people don't like the spam anyhow.

These message boxes should not be box-like, and hard edged; but rather a solid underscore with tabs-for the chat-and a fading text box with transparency and rounded edgesfor all incoming dialogue. Optionally you can open settings and expand all chats or just a log of one chat.

These should be inoffensive so as not to detract from the overall image presented by and through the overview.

Just my thought.

Auto-hide the Neocom option. Mouseover and click a double chevron or something to unhide. 60 second auto-hide timer roughly.

Simplify the Station Info screen. Most of this already exists on the Neocom. Why duplicate it?

If something is inaccessible from the current station; gray it out on the Neocom.

I agree with this.

It is importand to know (kinda ;) whats going on with your ship so these indicators should have a more prominent and bigger place in the UI IMHO.

I'd like to keep the old ones so you can see on the overview which ship is scramming/webbing/ neuting etc. (maybe put them all the way to th eleft instead of the right). But also ad an indicator right in the middle of the screen. Similar to the ECM/TD indicator maybe? Just brainstorming here:-).

My 2nd request is this: Can you make it so that you can save the ammo/cargohold content of a fit in the fitting manager? This is working for the dronebay already. I would also like it to work for ammo, cap boosters, scripts and such. So the contents of the cargohold is saved with the fit as well.

can you make a way to sell multiples items at once ?

for example, an ui like when you have all your items on hangar listed like for refine or repair ui.
and now that the mouse can select multiples items it will be easier to select just a few

you check what you want, on the ui you have a box input with what % below average price on buy orders you accept to sell for.
you click "sell all", and all items that are not cheaper from this % will be sold at the same time.

this will help a lot.

currently i'll either :
* don't loot to avoid to do this later
* refine all that is not meta3-4
* refine all that i don't know the name, cause checking which is high meta for each item i don't knows takes hours

with this system you will be able to sell all the junk on one click, while obvioulsy it will still be better to make sell orders.
you could also add an option to refine all things that would be bough too cheap.

another possibility would be to make an UI that show all all the average price and buy order price of all items on our hangar.
then you check what you see, and hit a checkbox on each item you're okay to sell given these infos.
and hit the "sell all checked items" button

When looking at a saved ship fitting. Each module in the fittings list could have a new right click option "Search in current station hanger" Then it would search that item name in the items list.

Add a note when anchorable containers auto explode in the descriptions of those items. May help some noobs not to pester the rookie help channel.

If you take all the sand out of the box, only the cat poo will remain.

hello soundwave,

the thing bothering me is the jump clone timer. It is very heavily depending on your timezone and daily routine, so maybe you can tweak that a little bit. I put already a thread in the ideas forum, but basically I would suggest making eve easier to adapt daily routines.

=> possible things:

1.) if you have a jumpclone in the same station, enable jumping every 20h
2.) make it 20h with the current jump machanic
3.) make it based on the range of the jump
... etc.

=> if you play every day i.e. from 20-24 eve time, this would enable you to adjust your clone for more fun.
=> It could add more pvp/pod kills because you need to travel to a station

Why do I need jump cloning? for leadership bonus for example etc.

In ICON view within a corp hanger, it seems to randomly sort station containers...not based on set name, but some other parameter. It would be nice to order your station containers exactly the way you want them without having to revert to list view.

One of the good news in the coming year, water dragon, it was leaked from the depths of ССР information about what is possible in late spring and early summer of 2012 capsuleer still be released from the cramped cabin of the mysterious and alluring world of its novelty plants. I think it would have enriched the world of EVE and made it even more beautiful and magnificent. Stations with winter gardens could placed on a system with a security level from 0.6 to 1.0. make it possible to add a region to your avoidance list for the purpose of setting routes/autopilot.

Useful if you have poor standings with a faction or doing FW to avoid accidentally straying into enemy territory and loosing ship.

Contracts:

1. Create some contracts available to corp members, say.. 30 then visit your contracts start page and you'll see it say "You can create -X more contracts". It is still possible to create public contracts up to your limit (correctly), but the UI shouldn't ever say that you can create a negative number of contracts so that should be fixed.

2. When copying a contract that was assigned to your corp, the copy should also be assigned to your corp. Currently it is assigned to "private" with the player name set to your corp name. Submitting this contract as "private to your corp" will cause unexpected behaviour, like it disappearing into the ether in searches. Contracts should be private OR corp, not both and copied contracts should respect the original assignee.

3. When copying a courier contract, if there is the requisite quantity of identical items to what was in the copied contract, the new contract should recongnize this and respect this information - currently there is just a warning about there being "no item information" or something whenever you copy a courier contract.

4. When creating a courier contract, on the third screen, it would be great to have an "advanced interface" (like buy/sell orders) where each item to be couriered can have a reward/jump/unit value and collateral/unit value which then automatically calculates the absolute values for the total contract.

Assets:

1. It was recently implemented that you could filter search results in the assets window with key:value meta information. It would be great if items created through Planetary Interaction were labelled as "Planetary Goods" or similar, rather than "General" to aid in searches.

Gameplay:

1. There should be a bindable keyboard shortcut for launching drones, currently there is only a shortcut for recalling them.

User Interface:

1. Currently it is very difficult to see what active modifiers are active on your ship by temporary effects such as fleet buffs or sensor jamming. Other major MMO titles use the convention of icons representing each displaying (with a countdown timer) in one corner of the screen.

Posted that before in the features and ideas section but i think it should be here too. Right now we have these circles in the tactical overlay with range indicators and a straight line up or down to the target, what leads to false range indication when cutting the circles. The soution for this would be a curve instead of a straight line to connect the circles with the target.

For a target that is 20 km away it looks like this from the side:

This change would extend usability of the tactical overlay as a visualisation of target positions and their distances at a minimum of effort.

Planetary Interaction:

  • 'Science & Industry' form, 'Planets' tab
  • The most common tasks I do with this screen are 'Warp to the Customs Office', and 'access the Customs Office' (in addition to 'View planet') - can those 2 functions be added as buttons next to 'View Planet'? (Warp to 0 is fine; I can right-click for other options.)

    If moons are also typically accessed that way, perhaps something for them too.

  • Allow me to rename (or append to) the Launch Pads, as I sometimes use different pads for input or output of materials, and it's hard to tell from the Customs Office what's connected to what (and I'd rather not take my eyes off local space by going into Planet View).
