The probe tool(for moving probes) is on the bottom layer of all your other tooltips/toolhints/whatever-hints/whatever-bubble-hint-tool.

This means that when I'm trying grab my probe tool instead the game thinks I'm trying to interact with some random asteroid field, planet, or god forbid I'm trying to interact with the probe tool the game thinks I'm trying interact with an individual probe's whatever-bubble-hint-tool.

So yes it was frustrating trying to probe quickly because well you might end up clicking on some whatever-bubble-hint-tool, forcing you to click somewhere else to get the context menu to go away, and then trying again...

And to make everything else more frustrating some-times you need to interact with the probe tool you have 8 anoying whatever-bubble-hint-tools that cluster around the probe tool since for some reason probes have the annoying non-scaling-with-zoom whatever-bubble-hint-tools even though they have no useable context menu or any reason to interact with them at all(IE we have the shift button).

On a side note I like to work on scanning zoomed out which means that the whatever-bubble-hint-tools being non-scaling means they take up a disportionant amount of work space when when trying to work with the probe tool. And I won't stop working zoomed out since being zoomed out lets you short cut half of your probe scans since you can use your knowledge of knowing how signatures spawn easier.

I made a pretty picture to show my frustration:

On a side note it'd be nice to get some probe tool options directly on the map, since you show signature results on the map itself. Most notably change your probe formation.

I would like to add that you are not able to zoom in far enough to acuritly adjust your probs

why they decided to just throw scanning onto a map not built for it is beyond me
