TLDR...

So. Was Tuxford at all remotely close to the servers when this started?

Just to mention, there's a news article on the website about this:

https://community.eveonline.com/news/news-channels/eve-online-news/skillpoint-gift-for-extended-downtime-on-july-15th/

Short answer: We're getting 50k in skill points on Tuesday July 21st even though we didn't lose any and they'll have a report on the incident sometime shortly.

Lookie, I found where to edit my Signature!

Albeit we did not lose any training time, most companies will kick down a little warm fuzzy for the inconvenience.

Because damn, a large section of the customer base is overly entitled as to sit coiled ready to pounce whenever any company mis-steps, to get something for some fiend injury. .

Hell if Wrangler farted in the wrong direction, most of your customer base would be scream plex for compensation.

I don't suppose they could just bring the servers down for a few months so I'll have a nice big gift of SP waiting for me when I next log in...

Yeah Singularity bonus SP are granted to allow people to muck about with new ships, modules etc while they're in the test phase. Don't be discouraged by it though, the test server is a great way to test new ship builds and try new tactics for use on Tranquility without risking hideous amounts of Isk

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
