Wow. Quite the mix of reasonable understanding and ridiculous sense of some kind of loss. Congrats on being both understanding on the one hand and an entitlement asshat on the other. Why do people think CCP should give them something just because they had a temporary technical snafu? This is such a nice illustration of what crap many in society have become. Being glad that your game came back won't be enough...

This just in:

Eve online shut down less than a week after a 11 hour downtime rocked the game universe.

Apparently the playerbase discovered the "outdoors" and never returned.

As you’re all aware, Tranquility is still offline after today’s scheduled daily downtime.

This is due to an issue that happened during a code deployment today while patching for a few fixes in EVE Online. The issue caused the cluster to fail to start up correctly, and as such, Tranquility is currently unavailable for play for both EVE and DUST.

Our operations and development team are working on this issue as we speak, and we’re hoping to have Tranquility back online for you guys as soon as possible.

Right now, we don’t have an ETA for when the cluster will be back online and accepting connections, but we’ll keep you updated in this thread.

remember that time is a key factor in the game and every minute lost is a million lost, one million less closer to buy plex.


That's all very fine, but have you ever seen a game that's run and been constantly expanded over 10 years without charging even once for the expansions?

I think CCP deserve a little leeway, my friend.
