If I was one of the devs, I would:

  1. Look at all the code changes that were done in this time period (since previous downtime) in the repository logs.
  2. Revert those changes to check if they were the problem.
  3. If everything works after reverting the changes: try reapplying them one-by-one, to find the one that causes this problem (you could do that by date, or by the impact of the change; I would personally go for the impact: simplest fixes gets reapplied first, slightly larger ones after that, and repeat.
  4. Finally find the fix that caused the issue - investigate what it changed, and how it changed it; the answer must be within the change.


If the server didn't work as well, after the step 2, I have no further suggestions, since it can't just work fine one day, and stop working the second day, under the same, exact conditions. There must be a reason, there must be some kind of change that stops it from working.

Yes, and these devs are still working their butts off for your sorry whiney face. Instead of giving them a bunch off butthurt whinery maybe you should go and grow some common sense and appreciate the fact that these people are working for over 12 hours to make sure your sorry ass gets what it wants.
