I would like one potato for my troubles please, I will also accept half a potato if given with a written letter of apology for the emotional devastation this has caused me. No, not a space potato for you cannot eat those, but a real life potato. Furthermore I would like to add to my list of grievances that under page 5 of article Made up, subject disclaimer that if these servers are not released from bondage within the realm of observable time that I may adjust my demands to that of two potatoes.

Recently a bunch of dev's in RL told me that it was due to the "inability to provide a sufficient entropy pool as input to the Linux random number device" . If you are faced with similar issues, I feel your pain - good luck with the resurrection of Tranquillity!

On a personal note my family is extremely grateful to getting some quality time with me Blink

To all the whinges, moaners and bitches bitching. consider - there's people in real life committed to staying up all hours of the night to fix the issue, just cause it's impacting your game play no need to be rude and obnoxious.

Some ideas to consider:

  • Be patient, watch a youtube video
  • plan out what your character is going to do for the next 12 - 24 months.
  • best of all, write an article that can and will enhance the game play of EvE for new players, or go to eve universities wiki and see if you can add more content to there posts, by enriching the existing content that there is already.


Don't be afraid step out of your comfort zone and put pen to paper and see what knowledge you can share at this time.

Put that spent up energy to good use rather than turning it into negative emotions.

*Update

Whilst no fix has yet been implemented, the initial cause of the failure has been identified.
A travelling server salesman called at CCP offices this morning and promised to 'Double the servers', the developers were a little dubious at first - but the salesman phoned one of his friends up who vouchsafed on his behalf. One stranger backing the word of another was all the proof required for CCP to hand over the one server they own.
All we need do now is wait for the two servers to be delivered and we can all play again.
