I would definitely play. Anyone under 3 years would suddenly be at a major advantage compared to the older characters that would lose a whole lot more.


Oh balls, as much as I would hate losing all my toons and time put into eve, i could rebalance and undo all my **** ups while i was learning, I could literally make up for over a year of stupidity. Knowing what i do now, and starting over, would be a blessing.

why is a programmer issue, maybe is a hardware failure. Compensation , this is another day at work, you get payed the same way.

Just be patient am sure they are working on it rather than reading this forum.

Who said you can't enjoy eve offiline, go visit other thirdparty website that don't depend on api, check fits . etc etc.

I know it sucks, but people are overeacting, if it takes another day then is something else.

To be fair, if the downtime is this long it's probably something serious, if a bug corrupted the db state during downtime they'l be able to restore from backup (they probably backup every downtime, I would) but it would take ages to restore.


Sounds more like a hardware problem than software. Did CCP remember to pay the electric bill and is it plugged in?

FaultFinding means they suspect it's a hardware problem. Which is what I was worried about. If they find the faulty components, they can fix them, and hopefully this doesn't cause further software problems.
