Unscheduled Downtime Extension – July 15, 2015

To all the people that say a few hours is too long.

We have a 'simple' media playout system in our banch office.
If 1 of the the servers decides to fall over it takes us 3 hours to reboot it.
as a national broadcaster we have SLA's which are fairly impressive but some stuff you just cant fix right now!
On a system as complex as eve I'm supprised it doesnt take them this long to reboot the thing.

Yes, we do know how to manage such systems. There are CM tools in place and lots of others. But firstof all there are methodologies of continious deployment.
I believe that CCP has it all in place. But something could be done better.

Opening it up in a hex editor and I find all it says is "Backup failed"
