At my first IT job I would be sitting in the server room trying to coax the exchange server back to life after a BSOD. Every minute or so some helpful soul would pop in and say "You know email is down right?" I put a sign on the door that said "If you see me in here, I already know about it"

Didn't help.

If I read the patch notes right, they weren't going to be reinforced, anyway. New mechanics.

as far as it failing to start up parts of the cluster there was some problems during the patch before this one where some wormhole stuff didnt spawn correctly either like the sites missing some Things.

And to add to the " rotating downtimes " comment earlier , it would make sense ,in fairness to all players to implement a 1 hour shift a day in the downtime so everyone has equal evening access .. Australians must be ripping their hairs off .

Well, there are ppl working and coding while there is no dt so they can implement it when there is. A constant dt is just a way to ensure a regular and stable update. And those guys have regular jobs and probably want regular working hours so they scheduled the dt as they saw fit to ensure the best possible way for them to implement things. Maybe they could shift it somewhat from time to time but I think rotating and shifting it constantly would not work for them. (Only speculation of course).

And Plan B?
CCP Falcon probably will affirm this later: The Server was set back 24hours and you all lost SP, so the devs agreed that those should go to Gajo Facinus because he is so reasonable and understanding. :-D

but anyways it cant possibly be that bad as years ago where it took days to fix stuff :)

'I know there is a problem, do not disturb me unless the building is on fire'.

Well - some IT dudes advise you to specify the problem and send them E-mail - when you have E-mail problem...
