Characters Avatar - Not showing?

Hey!

As you can see, my characters portrait is not showing. Neither ingame or log in screen.

Is this normal? e.g. Takes a while to load?

I was created around 14:00 EU time yesterday if that helps?

I noticed last night that there were many players whose portraits were not showing in game. Perhaps there has been some sort of server glitch.

It looked like a clandestine meeting of Anonymous at times. Smile

Its frustrating as I spent literally aaages on character creation :(

Can take up to 24 hours, also I think trial accounts do not have portraits.

OP you should petition, because something's wrong here.

Just been in game around Malukker and pretty much all players under a day old have the same problem.

Did they complain or did you just observe faceless portraits? Because in the game it takes a while until you load other char's portraits, but they should be visible on evegate as soon as the char has been successfully created. Within minutes, usually.

I have a similiar problem - when I update my portrait ingame, it won't generate a new one, but an old one. Even the EVE Gate isn't current with a new one.

Maybe some bug in a patch?

It's an activity based thing.

Sometimes Paparazzi (the server that actually creates the portraits) gets a bit behind. If it's not done within 24 hours, I'd suggest raising a support ticket. but not before then.



(as for 'why doesn't it just use the one from my computer?', allowing uploads from an untrusted client, to go to other clients, is generally a bad idea. you never know what someone may do. Trusted clients are ones that are totally controlled. our machines aren't)
