The introduction of ship skins have brought a level of ship personalization not seen before. This was further demonstrated with the recent bug of skinning any ship with any skin.

I propose that alliances can design skins for individual ships and like Alliance Logos, Alliances will be able to pay for them to be use in game by CCP.

Only alliance members would be able to use the designed skin and would be automatically available for alliance members free of cost.

Naturally CODE. would be interested in a skin for our New Order Agents .

Even just having designated spots on each hull in the game specifically for an alliance/corporation logo would be nice... Just make a tick box in the SKIN settings in the loadout menu for logo on/off.

The ability to make a fully customizable ship skin is nice, but at the end of the day the logo is the most important part in my opinion.

CCP's push to reopen alliance logo submissions indicates that this is the route they want to go.

On a side note, what do you think of having the corp and alliance information given by the overview to be dependant on your ship sporting the corp or alliance insignia?

this is pretty much on the agenda, as well as custom player made skins, but that's down the road

I would avoid player/corp made skins, I think its too much, just like how there are no corp logos IMO it should be kept to alliance level.

Starting with corp/ alliance skins is a good idea, but i think CCP has made it rather clear that in the future everyone will be able to customize their own ships at will for a fee ofc.
