As a new player do not omnitank you mission ships and read the mission guides to make sure of what the triggers are.
Damsel is pretty easy if you don't trigger everything. When you warp in shoot everything but krul, when everything is dead, shoot krul and whatever spawns, then shoot the structure till a wave spawns, stop shooting it and kill the spawns, then go back to structure. If you approach it systematically you will have no problems.

Also ask for help or join a proper helpful corp. join helpmymission (might want to google this also to make sure I have it right) in game and if someone is close to you they will come and help.

Is that dual tank?

Once upon a time there was a problem with small ships squids through at us. Drones was the answer. You are Minmatar, HTFU and use your own ships. Let drone take care of small targets (sentry drones when they are far, combat drones when they are close). Let the super tank of Fleet Issue battle ships protect you long enough untill you will GTFO to the station to repair cause you screwed triggers...

This is what you can use against mercs, guristas, even serpentis or mordus. They will apply kinetic / therm damage on you - so you use correspondent hardeners. They are weak against kinetic damage - you use wardens. Against drones, blood raiders or sansha you will have to swap kinetic hardener to em hardener and wardens to curators. Medium and light drones accordingly.
What is awesome in this ship is speed of 1200 m/s when you need it (some gates are far away)
Rig gives you targeting range about 100 km. So just LMJD jump away so, that NPC will be at this range and start sniping them as they are getting close. You will not need your tank that much - range will be your tank. When you will be skilled missioner you can replace cap recharges for something more usefull. But I think at that time you will be flying proper L4 blitz machine like Rattlesnake or machariel.

Gila, it's a decent mission ship, use Vespa Navy Issue Drones.
It's the best first mission running ship, since you get a decent tank and full drone bonus.
Always kill the small frigs first as you align to an object to warp out if needed.
On Damsel you should warp to around 70km out instead of right in the mix.

Problem with your fit was that you were trying to reinforce your tank to make up for the poor dps you were trying to dish out.

Here is a better fit for you, using a lot of what you already have:

rigs: you could stay with the 3 rigors.

HIgh: 6 x Arbalest launchers, using Caldari cruise

Mids:
X-L SB, or get a faction, or pith B, (they're pretty cheap)
Ionic S. B., or TII
2 x mission specific hardeners, for ie: against Guristas, one kinetic, one Thermal; Sansha, one em, one therm.
1 x mission specific amplifier, for ie; against Guristas, one kintic; sansha, one therm.
Heavy Cap booster, F-S9 or TII, with 800 charges, put about 15 in the hold.
MJD, I used one a couple of times, found no need, it caused more problems, but for a new person it could help. (maybe a TP)

Lows;
4 x BCU II, you need as much dps as possible, the longer it takes to clear a room, the more damage you take
Dam. Control II
(Maybe 3 BCU II, DC II, and a Signal Amp)

10 x T2 light drones.

The above fit will work just fine in every instance. If you get in trouble, and find your pulsing the shield booster more that your capacitor can keep up, even with the cap boosters, if your level drops below 50%, GTFO, don't bother with the MJD, you need to recoup, recharge, and jump back in the mission fresh.

I lost my first Raven, in my 3rd L4. It was a terrible fit.

After time, after running hundreds of L4s, they will become boring. So boring that you may fall asleep, as I did with a CNR. (no further comments)

ammo - yes, booster charges - nope. At least regular charges.

For missiles i prefer T2 ones - they cheap almost like T1s

Raven a la Liang is the base Raven setup for Level 4s. Tweak it as needed, e.g. LMJD. Also, stuff the drone bay full of light drones for killing frigates (hobgoblins work well against all NPC faction frigates,) don't bother with mediums.
