hello was thinking perhaps we could mak our own corp skins or emblem that each corp could design and put on their ships

It has already been discussed and I think it's in the pipeline. They introduced the new system now and will be working towards corp/alliance customization, since they now have the tools to do so.

I've heard it in a video somewhere... don't remember if it was during alliance tournament, fanfest or o7 show.

They had to fix the corp/alliance logo system first, so that the alliance can own the logo art intellectual property, and CCP can also own the logo art IP. And yes they did mention that the goal was to ultimately put logos (and custom skins I believe) on the ships, but not sure what the details are, and it may take a while.

If you look at the final version of the Alliance Logo's after CCP has done their pass, you can tell they are ready to go on ships :)

Not as sure you'll see them for Corps though, as Corps don't even get to make truly custom logo's :(
