ORE Mining Foreman Mindlink

A while back when command ships and warfare links were balanced, faction mindlinks were added. These mindlinks offer dual bonuses similar to the T2 mindlinks in one package. There was a small amount of discussion on adding an ORE mindlink as well, and I'm here to bring this up again.

The ORE mindlink would simply be a combination of the current mining foreman mindlink and the siege warfare mindlink.

The bonuses would be:

25% bonus to Mining Foreman and Seige Warfare link modules

Replaces mining foreman and siege warfare bonus with a fixed 15% bonus to shield hp and mining yield

Exact same characteristics as current faction mindlinks, and similar acquisition methods.

Supported.

PS - I'd also support Pirate Faction mind links that covered the other combinations. As Pirate implants they would be more expensive, potentially, but not any more powerful than existing mind links in the percentage they provided. For example:
Sanshas mind link: Shield/Armor
Serpentis mind link: Skirmish/Information

Don't want to totally derail your thread, but I think it would be an interesting idea.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Pirate Mindlinks don't make sense, since you fit and stat for optimal bonuses and there is no Command Ship that bonuses Shields and Armor or Skirmish and Information. You would only be making ideal use of the bonus half the time.

I see your point. I guess they could add a Sanshas and Serpentis Command Ship too...

Personally, I usually fly on-grid boosting Command Ships in small gang fights. That usually means a maximum of three warfare links running. I have one clone with the Republic Fleet Mindlink and one with the Federation Navy Mindlink. I find myself clone jumping between those two clones depending on whether I am in a shield gang or armor gang. A shield/armor mind link would be very versatile for someone with limited jump clone access or a need to swap between shield and armor doctrines very rapidly. For example, if you lived in a wormhole or did a lot of home defense where you might be in armor now, but shield thirty minutes later.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Tech 3 booster ships would like a word with you...

Correction, the Loki would like a word with me. The other three all have either Shield or Armor. Fair point all the same though.

Fair point, though given that and what Arden pointed out about T3s I'd rather see Faction Mindlinks do a combination of three at a lower bonus than Armor and Shields and nothing else. IMO that seems like a better trade off and fits better with the T3 boosting ships.

Just quickly going to play my part in this communal derail...

Armor / Information (-x) / Skirmish (-x) and Siege / Information (-x) / Skirmish (-x)? If so that would be interesting. I would like to see such a thing tied to a new pirate command ship as well though, along with the extra 1% boost per level.

IMO pirate ships shouldn't take on the roles of T2 specialist ships. That just gets into the same mess as either the T3 Cruisers (new or old ones) where they're either flat better or barely worth using.

Pirate/Navy links though could be interesting, at least as part of an eventual swap to On-Grid boosts, where you may actually want a lower bonus to more things if it means the ship boosting can fit links and guns.

They'd still be useful.

But I'd be more than happy to see the long awaited pirate bc hulls...

Someone since pointed out a few use-cases I hadn't thought of.

As for Pirate BC hulls... lets balance the BCs we've got before adding to the number of problems... ^^; (don't get me wrong, would love to see them, but lets fix things first)
