Update to the Launcher and the repair tool - Fix inside!

Sorry for the delay, work and other RL stuffs got in the way this week.

I've tried both that one and the 2.2.859950 version. Latest version simply stalls half-way through the "Creating Patch 859797 to 860458" part and eventually the update fails at exactly the same point every time -- 52%. Earlier one does the same as well. I'd love to send you a text message containing the exception popup that comes up when the launcher fails the update. Can I do that with a bug report (it would be a pretty large text file, OpenOffice shows the whole thing is about 75,000 characters long)? Or is there a specific area I should be looking for?

For reference, the following is the top part of the exception popup...

Alright, so weird (and ****) week it's been. Turns out I had to reboot my machine this afternoon and got a BSOD and had to pretty much reformat my hard drive. After having reinstalled Eve Online, thankfully it works and I was able to log in, boot the client up, and started redoing my UI setup. Sucks, cause I lost a crap ton of stuff that I had no room on my external to have backups for...music, vids, personal files, browser BMs from sites I couldn't remember how to get back to, save files for all my games.

Thing of it is that I was already planning on doing a reformat at some point, just wish I had a chance to pick when to do so rather than get a blue screen on startup and a "Whoops, guess what, we didn't keep those monthly recovery points you scheduled a year back" from my OS. Thanks for that, btw Microsoft.

Eve works for me now, yay! But my weekend still manages to suck donky ****, yay! Roll

Since last weeks launcher update, I cannot log in via the launcher (now version 2.1.826897) - the previous version was sketchy as it allowed logon/password entry then locked and didn't fire up the client, this version now displays offline mode permanently.

Entry to EVE via the bin.exe is the only option.

Please fix things.

Since Proteus I have successfully logged on only a few times.

During this time I moved house and switched from Sprint cell phone wifi hotspot to AT&T uverse.

When I start launcher is has a blank white screen or a black screen and pictures are not showing, no logon etc.
It acts like it can not connect to EVE.

Downloaded launcher from link - same thing
Ran repair tool and it says it has errors and can not continue.

Wiped EVE and started from scratch (with a dns flush).
After eve downloads and get 75% through install it says there is a problem and I have to run repair.exe.
I try repair.exe and it does not open the repair tool!

Launcher now gives me a white screen everytime.

If I run Eveexe I can login to game but all ships are invisible!

I think there is an issue with AT&T uverse blocking Eve Online and preventing a correct installation or upgrade/patch.
If anyone has experience of this or can assist with a workaround I would love to hear it.

Worked as a charm, maybe add this link with the right file after each patch to the patchnotes ^^

why do we need to have the launcher again? is SSO ever coming?

I'd been able to get into EVE via the direct connect, but I was getting worried with Tiamat in the works...

For posting an idea into F&I: come up with idea, try and think how people could abuse this, try to fix your idea - loop the process until you can't see how it could be abused, then post to the forums to let us figure out how to abuse it..... If your idea can be abused, it [u]WILL[/u] be.

Use the bin.exe file in your CCP/EVE/ directory to launch the game, use the repair application to patch up. Still usable as CCP seems to want to rebreak the launcher again and again.

Last weeks launcher 859950 worked from Tuesday until today, congrats for breaking it again CCP.

Sooo who pissed off the code monkeys and How much do I need to pay to give them a banana to fix this? I have this issue the repair doesn't work and I would like to play please. I tried downloading the other launcher and it just shows I'm in offline mode. Any thoughts?

Also getting this. Worked fine last night, whatever you guys did today broke it. I went to bed after logging out last night, come home from work and it's dead. Absolutely no changes to my system nor any windows updates.

Launcher loads in offline mode.

Using "exefile" loads the client but it's unable to connect.

Using repair causes it to fail with an error report that says it cannot connect. I'd paste it but it flags the "no HTML" forum thingy.

Downloading the "new" repair.exe in the OP does the same damn thing. Completely unable to connect in any fashion and everything else that uses internet, is functioning normally. Both PCs with Eve installed are unable to connect. Router and modem have been rebooted and tested with the firewall down.

Same with offline mode eve launcher version 2.2.859950 I deleted my eve folder and did a fresh install. nothing. Cmon guys

I also have tried just about everything i can find on the forums to fix the issue of the launcher being stuck in offline mode, now there is an update so now i can't even play using the .exe file. Eve repair tool doesnt even do anything , it just sits at the first process Downloading Index " Initializing" ... Come on CCP it shouldn't be this hard...

Good luck, it takes me over 24 hours to get a reply and they've told me the same stuff you see on the forums. Of course they blame that its my system or my firewall but so many more people are having this problem so its obviously on their end. Had a ticket open for over a week , nothing has been solved and I havent heard from support in over 24 hours.

still stuck after scylla at installation files (upgrading my version not first installation) . what should I do? none workarounds possible since ccp said that to not use repair tool and since that the launcher doesn't work.

It is an endless cycle and I am not able to fix it by any suggestions found though the errorr box, or on these forums.
