From the patch notes :

Quote:
Optimal range of Bouncer sentry drones have been reduced by 14.3%. The same range has then been added to their falloff.

But that should be negative right ?

They will probably be relatively unchanged unless you are shooting at super extreme ranges.

Bouncers would happily shoot and hit stuff out to 120km at times. I imagine that now, they might still hit at that range, but the quality of the hits will be much worse.

Thats just the thing... i'm using 2 Domis with Bouncers, and even shooting at targets at 110-120km range seems to work better, closer targets get hit even better somehow.

I don't know if i'm just imagining this, but something feels off. ^^

Algebraic sign error?

Optimal +14% AND Falloff +14% ??

Might be something simple like that...

If you were using them in falloff before, yeah they probably hit harder now due to a larger and flatter damage curve. Taking range away from optimal and adding the same amount to falloff actually extends the maximum range of the damage application because drones/guns do damage out to twice their falloff + optimal.

Edit: I should say if you were using them beyond optimal + falloff, they should feel a bit buffed. Anywhere between optimal and optimal+falloff they would feel a tad weaker most likely.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

If you count the 3% hit rate "doing damage" at 2x fall off + optimal range

Ya, i was suspecting that kinda thing... so its practicly a hidden buff as long as u use bouncers for what they were inteded to be used. Range. ^^

For a given range, they also have a marginally better chance to hit, assuming all other factors remain equal.

For any given range beyond optimal, that is...

Lol
