Current:

Navigation Link - 10% to Afterburner Duration
Navigation Hyper-Link - 5% to AB and MWD Speed

Suggested

Set bonus: boost to either Warp Speed or Inertia

Nav Link - 10% AB Duration and bonus to either warp Speed or Inertia.
Nav Hyper-Link no change.

How much bonus and where they are is open. I'm thinking because the Zor's link is one of the first a character gets it would be better to give the new player effected one to that and the set one being the other. I just can't decide what a new player would want more. A Warp speed bonus or an inertia bonus to get them to warp quicker.

Warp speed. Inertia is a powerful stat and Zor's is one of the cheapest implants available.

There are 2 Zor's. One is 50-60 mill, the other is 6K. We know what ones are what because one is useful and one is only required when you have AB 1 and nothing else. (or you want to over size your AB then it's a sweet bonus for 6K ISK)

Warp Speed is not 'powerful'. It is a versatility bonus that makes the mundane, less mundane. If it was oh so powerful you would see more Cal on the rigs. 50 for T1 20%, 75 for T2, 25%.

Similar to inertia it is a scale bonus that would take super fast to warp ships and make them a little more super fast but only adds nominal benefit to slow ships. These bonuses will increase the value of the Zor's because they will be useful but only in reducing mundane factor. Any scenario where you would lose without them, you will lose with them. A pipe bombing for example makes use of the warp spool down and that won't change enough with this suggestion to make any difference.

It's cheap because there is no demand for it at all.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't these occupy the same hardwire slot? Cant have a set bonus if you can even fit both.

That said, 10% bonus to afterburner duration is never useful. There will always be something better no matter what hardwire slot you move it to.

Implants in general, and many many other ancillary things in EvE (like drugs) need a heavy rework, redesign and balance pass. So many utterly useless objects in this game and other things are just too difficult and unintuitive to use.

No, it's 5 and 6 I think but they are on their own slots.

From Boosters to rigs to super caps, they took the principle of diminishing returns a little too far. Agreed, boosters should have been an overheating system applied to implants that eventually destroyed the implants instead of the cut off your nose to spite your face system it is now but most implants are in better shape than other systems. We have enough clones that we can tailor them to jobs. Many were just never adapted to all the changes made over the years. Maybe in 2003 a 10% to AB was a good thing. Not any more.
