Station Containers - What Happens When I Repackage Them?

Hey Folks,

Tried looking for this answer for close to an hour with no luck, so I'm sorry if I managed to miss a thread about it... :(

I'm trying to contract goods that are within a Station Container that is left out 63 Jumps away from where I am so I can have some of it's contents hauled to my location.

My question is...

If I were to repackage the Station Container from within the "Assets" window, would that spill the items within the next available inventory, ie. Item Hanger? Or what exactly happens to the items.

I just want to be 100% sure as these items hold a high value and I need to make sure nothing really silly happens to them.

Let me know!

Repackage them and the items will be dumped in the parent directory (Item hangar / Ship hangar).

Trash them...well, say bye bye to your stuff in them.

Rock on! Thanks for much for replying. Was in the help channel and they just kept trolling the crap out of me. Glad I got a decent and logical response. :)

Thanks for the help once again :)

If in doubt - test it. Buy the same container somewhere else, put a Tritanium, a Fedo and an Exotic Dancer in it, and repackage.

I support the New Order and CODE. alliance. www.minerbumping.com

Bloodlines came with the following change:

> Only 1000 items can now be stored in a single location. A location is any location you can store items in. A container is also a location so you can have 1000 containers containing 1000 stacks of items each. Stacks are NOT limited, you can have 1000 stacks of 10 million trit. This is to address database performance issues resulting from a high number of items in the same location.

So having close to 1000 items (actually they meant stacks) in a container may lead so some of them being destroyed if you repackage the can in question. A GM may be able to help you if that happens but please don't tell them that I told you.

If you take all the sand out of the box, only the cat poo will remain.

Maybe 50 people at up times and about 30 at down times. Also any good new-player corp (shamelessly hints at BNI) such as E-Uni would have more people in chats (such as the E-Uni public chat)
