I second this.

I initially posted this here: http://www.reddit.com/r/Eve/comments/2w41tg/ccp_little_corp_tracking_things_idea/

Suggestion: Allow for export of fleet info
Keywords: Fleet, FC, PAP, Export
Note: Exporting fleet info to the log file could allow for a quick, easy way to track the who's and what's of a fleet.
---

Make it so the FC can click a button and export the fleet info from the fleet window. Info would be Name, Ship Type, Location, Corp, and Alliance. They just click export, and it puts the info in the Logs file. From there, they can put it on whatever database they want.

Originally posted https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=404244 but it's more of a little thing than a full suggestion. That thread has a few comments on balance implications (they are small but non-zero).

Suggestion: Add BPCs for Navy Cap Boosters to the LP stores that sell Navy Cap Boosters, at the same price point.
Keywords: LP BPC

Cap Boosters are an important PVP consumable that are annoying enough to transport that many players instead carry minerals and Cap Booster BPCs and produce them where they are operating. There is no option to do this with the Navy versions; this should change.

I'd like that message that politely tells me I've overshot loot (no longer in 2500 range) to gtfo. Thanks :)

Suggestion: Little Exploration Things, Hotkey and Replacement Button

Keywords: UI, Shortcuts, Analysis

Note: Hotkey for Analysis has been proposed before. Additionally, removing the Destroy Probes button, and replacing it with a Center View button that does exactly what it says on the tin: center the view on your currently active probe.

I've found it annoying to have to double click the center probe icon, which doesn't allow for centering your view in the midst of scanning, and this would alleviate it somewhat. Everyone who explores wants an Analyze hotkey, but this is a little thing I could thing of differently.

Suggestion: Allow items as reward for courier contracts.

Keywords: Contract, Courier

Note: Because you should be able to pay for labor with spirits and exotic dancers. Alternately, you could reward less interesting items or a combination of items and ISK.

When setting up the contract the player could select items from the hangers of the destination selected in 'ship to'. Essentially an item exchange that requests nothing from the other party that would complete automatically upon completion of the courier contract.

Suggestion: Module Activation Re-Click Delay

Keyword: UI, Modules, Player/Game Interaction

Note: Allow players to set a custom timer on modules that causes the game to ignore any subsequent clicks after the initial activation, until the delay expires.

---

Why?
Mainly aimed at cloaks, you need to be very careful not to double-click and turn the cloak back off instantly after turning it on, and is in general just an inconvenience to anyone moving between jump-cloak and active-cloak.

Also apples to anyone with a twitch that can again cause them to double-click and deactivate a module after one cycle unintentionally (eg Points & Tanks)

Pro?
  • Makes life a little easier for anyone using a cloak
  • Less punishing for simple mistakes
  • Avoid unintentional deactivation of a module
  • Set timer to 0 to keep current functionality

  • Cons?
  • Could be seen as a buff to current cloaking mechanics (ohnos)
  • [*] More open to click-spamming (is it a con?)

    • Suggestion: gate cloak break indicator
    • Keywords: ui, navigation
    • Notes: n/a

Currently there is no such indicator - for ship coming through the gate the only semblance of such a thing is warp command and resulting capacitor drop (and eventually subsequent warp notice - though capacitor is better). Calling warp can be pretty terrible idea depending on the situation (if sensible at all - e.g. non covert-ops ships) and remaining "break cloak" options are limited to regular movement (usually direct double click or align) - leaving the pilot with pure rng "call cloak N ms after align, then eventually repeat it M ms again if it was too early".

A high-priority simple indicator (message, some graphic effect, etc.) corresponding to "gate cloak broken, modules can be activated, ship is visible in space/overview" would be really welcome. And turn camper vs campee into lag+reaction vs. lag+reaction instead of lag+reaction+rng vs. lag+reaction.

    Hi CCP,

I'm new to your game, but I've already thought of something that should REALLY be changed, and also would take nearly ZERO effort from your devs.

As a student of HCI back in university, I understand that radial menus are fantastic things to allow the fastest access to the most highly used features, like in the original Sims games.

Your current implementation does it quite well. Orbit, aproach, show info, warp to, etc, all are good things to have on it.

But I lost my first ship, and got podded earlier, because the Radial menu is a failure when warping to planets.

    Here is why.

When warping to gates, the first option is Jump. fine enough, it at least makes you head to the gate, and you can stop it when you're there and before you leave if need be.
Warping to belts and stations is fine. You have no options in the top slot, and warp to is in the same place as on the others.

However, what screwed me over, was the View in Planet mode, being RIGHT next to the warp to button, when warping to planets.

I aligned to, ninja looted a yellow wreck on the pass by, and in my haste accidentally hit the top button instead of the top left one.
I didn't even see my ship get destroyed, all because I had the butt end of a big fat planet in my face.

I don't imagine planetary interaction functions are something that require immediate attention from a player. They could exist on a separate menu, or within one of the other sections. Placing it right next to warp to, in a radial menu, something that's supposed to provide quick access to important features is just asking for trouble.

Especially when PI brings you into a whole different interface, similar to opening say, ISIS or the New Eden Store, which all require some degree of loading or lag when they're opened.

The long and short of it is, I could've been a few million ISK richer if the interface was slightly better. Instead, I got to add my ship and pod to the long list of people killed by those sad, sad hi sec gate campers.

tl;dr: I died because view in planet mode is present on the radial menu when trying to warp to planets. it should be removed, or moved to a sub group in the menu.

This is pretty damn good suggestion, and probably the easiest (fastest) to implement in current state (isntead of e.g. adding separate enable/disable keybinds)

Suggestion: Allow user to remove items from autocompletion lists
Keywords: UI, autocomplete, autocompletion, text field

I have a lot of mistyped and otherwise unwanted entries in my autocompletion lists - you know, the dropdowns you get in text fields which pop up automatically or by pressing the down key. In Windows you just press delete on the highlighted entry and it's gone from the autocompletion list. Can we please have this functionality in EVE's UI?

I'm irritated by seeing my typos and stuff I only ever wanted to lookup once. Makes autocompletion annoying instead of the useful feature it should be.

Suggestion: Allow looting part of a stack using the loot all button
    Keywords: Inventory, Looting

In the current system you can have a mostly empty cargo hold and fail to loot something because the stack it's in is too big for your cargo. Not sure if it only happens when looting multiple items or if it also errors when trying to loot a single item in a stack. I'd like to be able to just loot the stack to my cargo capacity, as click&drag&hit enter works without having to do all those things, maybe as a toggleable option.

Suggestion: Removing a rack of modules with one click in fitting window
    Keywords: Fitting, UI, Modules

    Example

You click "Unfit all Lowslots" and all Lowslots shall be unfitted at once.
It is possible to fit a ship by simply ctrl+a/ctrl+shift/ctrl+left mouse then drag it ito the fittingwindow, no matter if on station or in space.

If you want to unfit or adjust the fit, you can either unfit everything on station with one click or with removing the desired slots by hand one by one or in space you have to remove every single module click by click, which can take forever in a pvp situation.

    • suggestion: move nanonfiber internal structures to propulsion/propulsion upgrades

Suggestion: Double the amount of clipart available for Corporation logos
    Keywords: UI, graphics
Notes: Variety is the spice of life! Since we can modify corp logos after a corporation is created for the modest fee of 100 ISK, this will GREATLY enhance the variety seen in biographies and search results everywhere, and make carbon copies a little less irritating, intentional or not.

As part of the bigger corp UI overhaul, the swatch panels should also be updated to accurately represent the effect they apply, and not just a single pixel example of what the most dominant colour is. Straight

    My "Little Things" suggestions

    1. Weapons grouping button for fitting window.
    2. Display drone control range in fitting window.

    Keywords: UI, Fitting

You currently have to undock and click the weapons grouping button or shift+drag my weapons to group but why there's not a grouping button in the fitting window? Also what's my max drone control range?! There's no section in the fitting window with said stats. There's really only one way to find out... Again undock and find a target (something Concord won't kill you over) and get as far away as you can and shoot it until you get message as to how far you can control you drones.

    Thanks for listening! Fly safe!

    Regarding Tactical Overlay

    1. Ability to adjust opacity of tactical overlay, down to zero if desired leaving just numbered rings.
    2. Ability to turn off range bubbles entirely or substitute them with their own rings of different color.

Re: 1. I can see removing opacity of the flat layer to zero for better space experience but still have the drop lines.

make -10 standings not affected by Diplomacy.

Diplomacy 3 makes me -7.60 with Serpentis so I'm assuming 5 will still be -5, kill on sight
    so no difference to gameplay
but -10 is an achievement, let us treasure it
