I miss the days when I could view my client in Widescreen. It's not an important function, but for when I was travelling or Bearing, I enjoyed the widescreen mode as I fantasized myself being in a sci-fi movie and I'd have monologues of me doing my impression of William Shatner Personal Logs. Anyone else miss the WideScreen Mode?

Moving UI elements onto the black bars would be counter to the movie feel wouldn't it?

And of course it's why the black bars were removed in the first place.

Cut out some long cardboard rectangles, spray paint them black and tape them onto the top and bottom portion of your monitor bezel.

You're welcome.

Just tape the screen. I just saved you the cost of the cardboard and paint!

I never said i didn't want them to be an optional thing, i just mentioned i never had any "fond recollection" or something else like that...

I can see no reason for these to not be an optional thing, although granted i can also not really see any reason for these to BE a thing...
