As we all can see deadspace module and pirate ships are getting cheaper because of better spawn/loot rates.

Way not do the same with Officers? i remeber the good old times when spawns were random and looted good.

Let's bring them back : ) Random, more frequent spwan rates and higher chance for loot! Pirate

random more frequent spawns...

because supers/titans dont have enough officer mods giving them the EHP of large POS's already

no thanks, powerful mods are supposed to be rare FOR A REASON, if anything, id like to see a nerf to deadspace loot drop rates

and assuming we DID increase the base drop rate of officer mods, to protect their overall value, id want more deadspace/officer mods added to the game for mods that dont already have them

that way, more officer mods CAN drop, but their individual value will stay relatively the same because the chances of any one particular mod dropping repeatedly over time is lower

Quick little forumula for you:

Increased spawn rate + increased drop rate = more supply = lower dropped module prices

Basic economics, and probably not the change you're really looking for.

which is why a good alternative is to make more variations of officer mods, for mods that dont have them yet, therefore each mod that currently exists would on probability maintain a similar supply for a similar demand, therefore a similar price, but with the added benefit of still havign increased officer loot drops, because there woudl eb other mods with other demands and other prices

and the only reason i propose this is, with the amount of whining about how nullsec isnt profitable enough, or people arent getting enough shiny for their grinding, CCP may or may not cave (but will likely cave EVENTUALLY) into giving everyone a higher loot chance of free bling, adn id like a more sensible option be proposed and available as a choice BEFORE they make the bad decision to nuke the prices of officer loot with an absurd drop rate

*edit* thought just occured to me, with the amount of NES bling the OP has on their avatar, any whine for more officer drop rates for more loot money is LITERALLY the most 1%'er self-entitled suggestion I have ever heard, I mean holy crap their clothes could buy a nullsec whelp fleet for a weekend of fun

You know what would be even better? If you and the other empty space owners could upgrade all their systems to military V so the systems are more worthwhile to rat in.

If they apply new AI patterns to them and allow them escort fleets and such that require either a capital or a well fit marauder to take down while otherwise requiring a small fleet to kill. Sure raise their spawn rate. I'd love to see people think "oh hey an officer spawn" then end up in their capsule.

Plus I would be okay with more officer modules if it meant more small fleet content for null/low

Judging by the content, especially line 2, of the opening post, this is exactly what s/he is looking for.

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

hehe... The missioner in me says yes... *Imagines 3x Officer heat sinks on a Paladin*
The logical thinker in me says no... because they're better off as a rare item.

I t would be cool to see Officer spawns Full Random and less rare, there use to be people that roamed null sec looking for officer spawns. There are no people like that any more : (

I saw few Officers die and they didn't drop a single officer module. Would be cool to roam null again hunting for officer spawns Roll

Just fit them, they'll be more rare 5 minutes later when you get yourself ganked and featured on ALOD.

What if mil V generated an "agent" in the system if it has a station/outpost?

Officer mods are rare and expensive for a reason, That reason being, they were made to be rare and expensive - And powerful

sounds like you just want officer mods to be as easy to get as the "rare" loot is in WoW

I don't know, the only thing I wanna do is to do some havens and sanctums to keep my wallet happy and pay people again for being paid to run DED complexes.

They were hard to get before, but possible. but now they just impossible to get .... the officer hunter profesion got killed. would be cool to see it back, and it won't mean officer mods getting cheap mate. after all it won't officer on every belt ^^

Pith X-type EM Ward Fields are 90m in Jita currently. Core X-type Explosive Hardeners are 100m in Amarr.

Please do not let what happened to deadspace loot happen to officer loot. Something needs to remain rare and special. Though expanding deadspace loot tables so there are more things on them to try and curb saturation of a few items is probably a good idea.

Vote Vic Jefferson for CSM X.....XI.....XII?
