Wormhole Vs Null Space Exploration?

I have a very simple question. I s it more profitable to do exploration sites in wormhole space or Null space? By this I mean in general which area will give the greatest profit. Not which is safer. I am however asking this as a solo player, so wormhole sites beyond class 3 are out of the question. So to sum it up, which, in general, is more profitable. Class 1-3 wormhole sites? Or Null space sites?

Cant say much about null exploration, never actually dived down there in term of doing data/relic.

On the other hand, I have found wormholes to be my source of income.

Sometimes you find wormhole filled with Faction data/relic sites, empty, and waiting.

Actually in my first days of wh explo, I have found 2 wormholes connected in chain, empty and full of sigs.

I left after 2 hours of hacking/d-scan/paranoia/excitement/ with half a billion. Them Intact Armor Plates Big smile


After you collect alot of iskies, you dive in them just for that feel of being watched by a cloaked Proteus in the site waiting...



Overall I never left under 200mill through 2-3 hours of exploration.


And to answer your question which is more profitable, there is no straight answer to that.


You can get lucky in a wh like I did and find 10 Faction sites, or you cant find empty/uncleared wh for some time.

Same thing in nullsec, 6 signatures in crowded system. Move on.

The loot fairy does not distribute loot evenly. Some sites are awesome. Some sites are rubbish. Both in w space and in null. Your mileage may vary.
