Aiding SOE in Thera

Down in Intergalactic Summit, after the in-game news where Sister Taya asked for help, players have been discussing how to help the Sisters in Thera. The problem is that there seems to be nothing going on at all to allow us to actually help. No missions, no conversations with an SOE character, etc.
Sister Taya went to the news and asked for capsuleer assistance. We want to help but the game doesn't allow us. Please make this into a nice live event!

Indeed, if you are going to ask for capsuleer involvement, you should actually allow capsuleer involvement.

I agree with this so much I will like it, quote it, then have my alts like that quote.

So many missed opportunities for live events around all this new content. The content is a game-changing, and live events around them could have been.

I will always remember the CCP Dropbear years but it looks like they are never coming back.

Part of this is due to the holidays. You can't expect these people to work year round with zero time off. Another problem is a lot of the older live event activities had some heavy accusations of favoritism.

Also, nothing is stopping players from running their own events. I didn't see a ton of players escorting in dozens of industrials loaded with aid materials. Some of the better live events have been player driven. It is our story to write.

Although Live events are nice, a modest suite of missions to go along with thera would have done much for the narrative. Really Thera needs a proper modernized epic arc... whatever that is.

That's only true if the Devs are going to support such efforts in a meaningful way though.
If the Devs are ignoring the players, why should the players go to such efforts, and currently we are being very ignored. There is some nice background stuff, but no visible ways to interact with it, and saying 'Just PM a Dev that you did X' is actually the quickest route to favouritism, since the Devs don't reply to most PM's they get.
