I can't log in , uninstalled , now can't install. keep getting "Target payload not found" .. wtf!?

Since yesterday i had the problem that my launcher couldn´t connect to the server.


I thought about what i changed on my system and the problem was that i used a proxy on my Google-Chrome since that time.

Removing the proxy settings solved my problem.

Maybe this could help someone.

I have a slightly different issue. My launcher is fine (logs me in fine), but as soon as the game opens, it says "connection closed" with a "connect" button at the bottom. Trying it again gives "invalid authentication token by client" errors. I don't have the bandwidth to uninstall and redownload the game. Tickets also have no reply X

My Launcher is trying to validate client, still at 0.0%. First time it has done this for as long. Usually the perpetual ailments with the Launcher go away a week after each expansion/patch but it has been longer than that.

Anybody have any suggestions that could help? Already have 2 tickets open on it and the GM is busting his gut to try and help, but nothing has worked yet.

Im unable to use the repair tool or use launcher, I tried the launcher repair at the beginning, fresh reinstall, only way i was able to reinstall was from the offline .

This worked for me; had a proxy set up in chrome, launcher broken. Removed proxy, launcher works fine. Thanks!

-> had some similar problems with the launcher some time ago...
Launcher was working for 1 or 2 days but then again stopped updating eve
at around 30-40% (error window poped up) and had to reinstall eve .

Replacing the Launcher or repairing didn´t solve the problem.

installation..... by deleting all patch files inside the eve installation folder.
-- then did a repair and the launcher did it´s job till the next day.

I did that for some weeks - repairing was not always needed to run the launcher.

Don´t know what caused the issue - some day the issue was gone...


Try it .... it takes only a few moments to check....

My Eve-online launcher does not work anymore.
It keeps telling me that the page does not extists.

Using the repairtool did not help.

What to do?????Cry

Tried uninstalling Eve, and re installing it but it still is a empty white launcer that says:
Uh-Oh! Something Went Wrong!

502 Error
It appears the website you are trying to visit is having technical difficulties or is no longer available.

So let me get this straight. You guys decided to ask us to patch this crap launcher to actually play the game - that's genius. I don't want to play the launcher - rather the game. I gotta say that initially I was sorta excited about all these mini-content patches - but the game has been getting more buggy every time. Pushing out crap that takes a lot of time to resolve has actually reduced my play time and thus my love for this game. Unlike several fine gentleman that have IT experience, I don't, so this entire thread is like reading another language to me. CCP - fix this mess so that computer noobs like myself can actually enjoy giving you my money every month. I'd suggest Thant since your having such a hard time getting new subs that you actually give a crap about the loyal subscribers you already have.

I have had the same issue during validation of client phase. Don't know how but I managed to get two instances of the launcher active at same time. While one held onto the crash window (which I did not interact with) the other finished the validation and I was able to log onto game for my free trial. So decided to splash a bit of money for a small time active account and closed game to refresh for my 'free' ship. Guess what .launcher crashed over and over again.

The only way I can log in is by going into the bin folder of eve and using the "exefile'' it worked the first time and I haven't logged off since. May not until my sub runs out. It bypasses the browser piece of launcher. Only bad thing is you wont see any links to click for your free ship-so I'm hosed in that regard.

Seriously just get rid of the launcher. It's too much of a headache. It is an absolutely TERRIBLE program that has far too many flaws. There is nothing convenient at all about it.

I've tried repair. I've tried reinstalling the launcher. nothing.

by any chance when starting up does it go through the process of logging in then all you get is a silly assed black screen?

Hello, problem with the launcher for the past 2 days and no help in sight till now, it gets stuck at 2/4 @ 25% and tried everything possible from my end (repair.exe, un-install and re-installed 4 times etc). Also put in 2 tickets for the help but no solution in sight. i read in another forum that after few days the problem get solved..so do we have to wait always for few days ?

Please if anyone with knowledge of this thing can help further.

Launcher problem continues to lock-up my system every time I attempt to load Eve. This behavior started three days ago when I had to rebuild my system and reinstall Eve along with a number of other applications. (All apps except EVE are working just fine.) All the 'alternative' boot tricks to launch Eve have been tried without success. Am going to remove and reinstall EVE in an attempt to fix this problem. Would appreciate it if anyone who has had a recent fix for the problem let me know what's going on.

No fix, sorry. Sad

But I was just about to give up on this and started searching the forums to see if anyone else was having this issue, and I gotta say I'm both glad that I'm not the only one but I'm also kind of pissed that others are having issues with this too.

Eve stopped working for me just a couple nights ago all of the sudden (right after last patch, go figure) and the repair tool keeps hanging at 85.4% during the "(2/7) Hashing files" and "(4/7) Calculating patch" processes and my whole comp chugs for a few minutes until I either can kill CCP.exe (if I'm trying to run the game) or the repair tool finally fails. Repair tool shows a "IOError: [Errno 13] Permission denied" during the hang-ups.

Edit: I managed to fix the launcher by first using the option 2 on this page http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/30136-dns-resolver-cache-flush-reset-windows.html and then deleting the launcher folder, then running the repair tool
