RLML reload cancel

Since we dont have any updates regarding ammo swap for RLML, can we at least cancel a reload if needed? Just so if i get a surprise in gang composition, i dont have to spend a minute picking the right ammo type.

Yes please, it is not unfair and would certainly make me happy. Maybe add a 5 sec delay on cancel so it still has a small penalty.

I would rather see it where all weapon systems could stop their reload and only fill a portion of their magazines and begin firing again. Of course to balance this, the ammo that is reloaded should be exponential so it is beneficial to the players in the long term to not cut their reloads short, but for a short term gain, they can cut their reloads short to get a few more volleys off quicker.

Lowering the average to make you look better since 2012.

A mid reload cancel even if it doesn't do a partial reload would be nice.

or if you could somehow go "when this clip is empty i want to reload javalin instead of the tungsten i have loaded now..."

the reason RLML have this problem is because there is no code for swapping ammo types that is independent of reloading so they need to make it. this would have that same problem and just slow down the development of swapping ammo types

You can just turn off auto-reload, but it would be nice to be able to tell it what you want beforehand and have it auto-load it as soon as you run dry.



I think the RLML and RHML should load gradually and evenly, but the total reload time should be increased. Their net DPS after reloads is too high for a long-range missile weapon made for smaller targets, and their DPS between loads is WAY too high. They can continue firing for like 2-3 minutes, long enough to destroy just about anything. I think they should fire for about a minute and load for 2 minutes. If you intend to use them too often for that to be viable, then it probably isn't the weapon for you. They're supposed to be used for quick ambushes, not extended sieges with short breaks every now and then.
