I have an idea on how to improve the idea sub forum. Have an initial message of the idea. Then only messages that help improve or make the idea capable of being incorporated and the likes option. Our ideas are far from perfect initially or even the same idea after so long and with contemplation of even if the idea is good or bad and whatever else you have major side tracking. Then as soon as someone says something that breaks that rule you can start preventing it.

There are some ideas that are bad from the start and no amount of selective feedback will improve.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

Because you are attempting to shut down feedback as to why the basic premise of the idea is flawed. (on the occasions that it is).
Such as a person deciding that rising plex prices means EVE has massive inflation and therefore needs a massive Isk sink added. When in fact last CCP reported we have deflation and plex prices have been unrelated to inflation & deflation of the general market.

So if a person starts from a bad premise, there is no way the idea will be savable. Much like you have started from the premise that every idea has automatic worth simply because someone wrote it down.

I improved MY old idea "a solo idea" and it was considered the worst idea in existence. AND with no help. A ridiculous idea has brought about many great things in this world once it got changed. Have you ever heard "what was once an absurd notion became one of the greatest impacts in the whole blank"

No, I haven't. And I've been around MMO's a LONG time.
And even on the marginal idea's that do get whipped into some semblance of a shape that is because of the negative feedback on them correcting wrong assumptions.

-negative- feedback is negative. pointing out flaws anyone can do and add pointers too. And I didn't mean for there not to be flaws to be pointed out in order to make the idea happen. And that's all there is....pointing out flaws in order to help the idea. In your second assertion you ended the idea or are you for this idea? If you were just pointing out a flaw then in what ways can we improve the idea forum?

Then you shouldn't be here. Argument is the core of why this board exists. If you do not present your argument well or neglect to improve your argument after receiving criticism, then all your doing is autocratically imposing your views on other people(which defeats the entire purpose of posting here). Argument and discussion is how you refine ideas and learn.

Closing yourself off to it just tells anyone who's actually serious about discussing and properly arguing that you're just spamming up the forum.

You have had what.... 5 threads locked in the past three days for outright trolling?

If there were restrictions on only allowing good posting, you would have been banned by now.

23. Post constructively.

Negative feedback can be very useful to further improve EVE Online provided that it is presented in a civil and factual manner. All users are encouraged to honestly express their feelings regarding EVE Online and how it can be improved. Posts that are non-constructive, insulting or in breach of the rules will be deleted regardless of how valid the ideas behind them may be. Users are also reminded that posting with a lack of content also constitutes non-constructive posting.
