ISD are not supposed to be fanbois

ISD is supposed to be neutral to the conversation. ISD is chartered to monitor for posts that violate the forum rules. Nowhere in the forum rules does it state "you cannot be critical of CCP and EvE".

There is growing evidence that ISD is not acting neutral to the conversation. The evidence is easy to find just by sifting through locked posts.

This is not how it used to be and I for one believe CCP can learn a lot from the negative opinions. Creating a Pollyanna world by censorship does not make EvE a better game.

I think you kinda' have to be a bit of a fanboi to work as an unpaid volunteer for more than a day or when it's not a part of court-ordered service.

I also don't see threads getting locked for criticism. I do see them getting locked for being redundant, trolling, ranting, or violating other published rules.

I also am pretty sure CCP does not look to player threads in GD that much for insight/feedback when they have other specialized forum areas for that, one happens to be specifically for soliciting ideas.

The ISD team do a fine job.

I refute any accusation that they neuter the humour these forums used to exude as CCP continue their campaign to water down this game to make it more appealing to the masses as a means to make up for the sub cash thrown down the drain on dust and vampires.

Am I wrong in this assessment?

However, tons of terrible threads aren't locked so long as they are not critical of CCP or Eve.

Criticizing CCP seems to lower the bar for getting a lock.

You can be a fan without being a fanboy. Plus, fanboy is used more often than not these days as simply a synonym for "person I disagree with" as a means of trying to discredit his or her opinion.
