It's trivial to add up (estimated material costs+job install cost = total cost), of course, but if you're going to force players to do mental arithmetic to "avoid dumbing down the decision" or whatever, why even display *any* estimate of the manufacturing/invention cost, or sum up the estimated costs of the different materials? Players could just look up the market values, after all...

I would've had similar suggestions for showing the added salary cost (in ISK!) from a team as well as the material cost and time savings granted by the team in the various tooltips, but since teams are getting removed, I guess that's not relevant anymore.

Suggestion: when creating market orders, make the drop-down menu for order time length large enough to accomodate all options at once

This is especially annoying as the most often-used options are (at least for me, again) either immediate or 3 months, which means whenever I switch between the two, I need to scroll. If the length of the dropdown menu is screen resolution/size-dependent (I have EVE on one 1920x1080 screen)... does it really have to be, with 7 options?

P.S. I wasn't sure whether the idea was 1 post per suggestion or 1 per person, so I made separate posts, but I think I'll leave it at these two for now.

Suggestion: Add a Polarization Timer countdown to the top left UI alongside Crimewatch, Jump Fatigue, Boosters. When highlighted, it can show you all of the systems/signatures you have timers for using a tooptip.

Right now the Polarization timer is on a per wormhole connection basis, but there is no visible timer to tell when your polarization timer is up. For new players, this would be a good UI feature, especially considering all the focus on wormholes. A tooltip can be used as a dropdown if the timer icon is moused over, so it can show you multiple timers if the player has jumped multiple wormholes. This could be displayed based on the system they generated the timer for, or wormhole signature based on the side of the wormhole they jumped through.

Suggestion: Differentiate the module icons for different sizeclasses of the same module.

All neuts, cap booster, cap battery, reps, shield boosters and so on have the same icon now. Please make them different in tiny ways so its quick and easy to see which one is in use when you want to decide what size neut to use on a frig or you are looking at a pvp video and want to see which mods they are using. For example all neuts curently have a cap battery with a stylized lightning strike over it, you could maybe have two lightning strikes on the medium neuts and 3 on the large. Or diffentiate the size of the lightning strike from small to large.

Suggestion: Add "unit volume" to the list of options when creating a filter

Right now there's an option to filter via the volume of the entire stack and another option for estimated unit price. When trying to figure out the estimated price per cubic metre, currently my only option would be to also take stack size into consideration and create filters for all volume/stack size combinations that result in the same unit volume. Also larger items usually yield more minerals when reprocessed.
Use case A: The creation of filters for items worthy of reprocessing.
Use case B: The quick selection of loot when cargo space is limited. (IB4 knapsack problem is NP-hard)

Whenever an acceleration gate is activated, some "action music" starts. That's all fine and well if there is, well, action, but if I just enter the plex to be safe when I scan or the other party bails, I must sit out the "action music" to the end. This becomes repetetive fast. This become really bad when chasing people through a few plexes. I could disable the music, but I actually enjoy characteristic music of highsec/lowsec/etc. and would like to keep it active. The only control needed would be "skip song", and the next song in the queue would be played.

Alternative: allow to disable the music changes when activating acceleration gates.

Its not a huge thing but I have been wondering about it for some time.

In null sec it seems that the standings you see in local arent the same as you see beside each name thats in station with you. Some that are blue are neutral, some dont have standings at all, some oranges and reds dont show up as having standings.

I can just look at local and get a better more accurate picture but Ive been confused as to why the discrepancy.

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

All items except Ships have same m3 repackaged or not. So we exclude this from Ship Maintnance Bays but allow it elsewhere. The main reasons being messines especially flying Capitals, Super Capitals and Titans. But as well as in Exploration ships. It gives absolutely no advantage to anyone but allows everyone to have organized Cargo/Hangar/Depo/Container.

I do a lot fo WH raids so I carry a lot of diff. equipment with me Harwesters, Guns, Depo, Relays etc.. I have multiples of some items and then you add all the exploration loot and it's just a mess. Allowing to repackage and stack things would make it way more neat. Same goes for in station containers and capital ships cargobays.




  • Suggestion: Change Chat option: Highlight My Messages to something more visible.

The option is great but it's not implemented very well the very dim white gradient background does not help my own text stand out as the option is very dependant on users screen at some settings you can barely see it and playing on TV you can't see it at all. Can we update the option to instead of adding a very dim & screen dependant background to maybe color your own text in chat with the bright color of the UI theme.

Example: I have Plasma UI theme selected and it has this bright color for buttons in activated state:

Could selecting Highlight My Messages option in chat color my text to the bright blue color of my Theme.
Or better yet allow us to select the type of color.

NOTE: I was going to suggest to allow us to select colors for text for Alliance, Corp, Fleet & FC but after looking at that in Photoshop it just looks horrible.




  • Suggestion: Update Wallet Ref. type IE filter so that it can show multiple filters not just one.

At the moment Wallet Journal works by showing either: All types of transactions or it shows just one type of transaction depending on the filter selected from the ( Ref. type ). Either way it's messy because you either see only one type of transactions or you see them all.

Also the filter list for the wallet journal is pretty damn long. Can we change this to something more elegant. My proposal is:

* Remove Ref. type dropdown list from Wallet Journal
* Add a settings button to wallet in the title bar like we have in Fleet/Email as show in this picture: http://imgur.com/7j8R7le
* Once clicked it opens settings window where we have a list all the filters listed as checkboxes, example:

[ ] Acceleration gate fee
[ x ] Bounty
[ ] ...
[ x ] Player Donation
[ ] LP Store
[ x ] Repair bill
[ ] ...

And now when I open my Wallet Journal it will only show: Bounty, Player Donations & Repair bills.




  • Suggestion: Add 30 day logs to corporation hangars under Corporation tab

Add a tab to Corporation Window that is either visible to everyone or just directors/ceo. In this tab we would have dropdown tabs one for each container ( Like we do in Decorations tab under Members tab in Corporate Window).

When you expand the tab you would see the log of all activity for past 30-90 days for that specific Corporation Hangar in say following format:

[d.m.y h:m] colera deldios - Added 50,000x Liquid Ozone

Since these logs would grow pretty big pretty fast it would make sense to only keep them for 30 days and simply purge them every 30 days. But maybe allow PLAIN TEXT export.

One of the things EVE has to many when you are mid fight or an intense situation is Windows. Yet Chat windows are pretty important but they also get in the way a lot.

At the moment we have an option to minimize the Chat Window to the sidebar this creates another ICON in the sidebar and when you click the ICON it restores the Chat Window however now if you want to get rid of it again you have to click on minimize window again.

Can we make it so that when you minimize the Chat Window to the sidebar if you hover over it for say 0.5 Seconds it displays the Chat Window hover when you move your mouse out it hides the window back. This way you can still read what your mates have written and quickly hide it away in a swift motion.

I know loyalty points imply they are meant for person loyal to the faction. But we already have player-made ISK for LP trade in Incursion community and ability to trade CONCORD LP for Faction LP so why not open it up to more possibilities. One person still has to go to the station where that faction has LP store.

And this would allow people who don't want to ship items or do market trade with LP items or build the items to directly sell their LP to other players sure they would loose a portion of it but hey at least they don't have to deal with shipping & building.

This also allows market traders and industrialists to expand their buissnes plan to faction items. Buy what they want from LP store instead of having to buy BPCs and items from the contracts. In any case it expands the market for many people lots of benefits no unfair advantages to any party.




  • Suggestion: Continue to repackage items if one or more items are damaged.
  • Keywords: Repackage item, skip damaged, keep repackaging


This is a bit annoying having to repackage multiple times just because some items are damaged. Say we select 30 items where 5 are damaged can we simply have it that damaged item is ignored and repackaging continues on non damaged. Because right now if say 1st, 2nd, 3rd items are not damaged but 4th is and 5th is not. Than 1st, 2nd and 3rd get repackaged and then you get an error on 4th and 5th does not get repackaged.




  • Suggestion: FLEET TEMPLATES - Allow us to have fleet templates.
  • Keywords: Save, Fleet, State, Templates
  • Short notes: Allow us to save a newly created fleet state as a template for faster fleet creation. Including MOTD message, wings & squads (and their names), access rights & name of the fleet.


Creating fleets get's anoying first fleet your self then you have to create an advert and then you have to set the fleet chat message etc..

Would it be great/possible that you can save the current instance of your fleet as a template. And quickly load it when you need it so for instance I could create a fleet and set Advert options so: fleet name & access rights and then create the chat message (MOTD) :

Ships: Ishtars, Scimitars, Hawks, Sabre
System: Jita
Logi channel: FleetLogis

Then you would create the wings & squads and give those names. And finally you would save everything as a template so when you need it next time you simply create fleet on your self and load the template.




  • Suggestion: FORUM - Add jump to my last post button next to Jump to GM/DEV/ISD buttons on top of Threads.

It would help a lot with long threads especially the devblog ones. Once you close the page if you dont remember what page of the thread you last posted you it will make it hard to get back to see how the conversation went on from where you last left.

Suggestion: Add the market related menu items for "Metal Scraps" to "Reinforced Metal Scraps". Currently they do not show up on the market.

SUGGESTION: Naming Drones

EXPLANATION: Allow players to name unpackaged drones, the same as they may for ships. Upon repackaging, names will be removed. I have a few very old drones I fly with that I would love to be able to give a special distinction from the others!

Suggestion: Common action buttons

Description: There are many things in the UI we really only interact with in a very limited way. From the "Planetary Colony" window, we're really only going to view the planet, warp to a customs office and open the customs office. So can we have buttons for "access customs office" and "warp to customs office" in the table, like we have warp to buttons in the probe scanner?

Would reduce right click planet -> mouse move -> customs office -> mouse move -> warp to / access to left click on the button.

There are other parts of the UI this would be cool as well but this is the most prominent example.

Suggestion: "Do not ask me again" hook for repackage window.

Description: If you often have to repackage modules drones and other stuff you also often have to press the ok button in the repackage window. Over time this is gettin annoying and time stealing and it is simply uncomfortable. Please give us a field where we can set a hook on "Do not ask me again" like in nearly every other window in the game.

EXPLANATION: When you have 30 skils training, and you decide to train a new specialty with priority, and you add them all from fast right click menu in show info, they end up all on the end of the queue (lvl II to V acnt be added up front, since they need LVL I first), if you then want them on top, you have to drag 2 to x skills to top manually, what if you could shift select a group of skills and then move them as a block up and down just like you can with 1 skill now?

    Suggestion: Change Ship Fittings Change searches so that searching is by ship type, not just name

    Explanation:
    If I search for Kitsune it shows no results because the ship isn't named Kitsune. Likewise, if I have three ships and two have Kitsune in the name and the third doesn't it only displays the two. If I search for the name of the ship it brings up the specific ship.

    What I'd like it to do is:

    If I search for Kitsune, bring up all ships in the Kitsune ship class regardless of name and also any ship that might have Kitsune in it's name if not in the Kitsune class.

    If I search for a specific named ship (i.e. "Meatwagon"), I'd like it to display Meatwagon and all the ships that are in that class (i.e. if Meatwagon was a Kitsune, it would open up the Kitsune list and list all Kitsune fits.
