Need: Warp Drive Spooling Up sound effect

We need a warp drive spooling up sound effect similar to a commercial jet aircraft engine spooling up especially for Freighters. We already have the "poof" when you actually enter warp (would be nice to make it louder) but we lack the spooling up effect.

I spend a lot of time in Freighters and would make my jump more hardon inducing.

why do you assume the warp drive makes a sound?

it does spool up, it makes a little pop sound that spools up in 0.2 seconds

I agree the sound of the spooling up and down of the warp drive unit is a necessary sound effect.

It would definitely have to have different lengths and pitches for each class- a frig would sound lighter, while a capital ship would have a pulsing, deep sound that speeds up and increases pitch until the apex, where it warps.

It could be dynamic, beginning when you enter "warp drive active" mode (not warping, but initiating warp), and the pitch and speed could grow as your speed gets higher and higher, until you warp.

who is to say that the warp drive on a dread is not the same as a warp drive on a frigate.

also would it actualy make a sound?

Nothing makes sound guys, the sound is added in later by the pod.
