How do you Queue?

So with the skill changes, what OCD way do you organize your queue?

shortest to longest? 1x > 8 x?

do you have to train all the way to level 5 before training another skill?

I have a young toon training and i do it shortest to longest cause it seems to maximize the use of the skill queue limits.

when im doing a more focused train i waffle alot, sometimes i want the things done the quickest sometimes i want specific things to be trained to completion.

lets hear your sickness.

I ignore it. When the queue's empty, it's empty.
I see no point in caring.

It's not unusual for me to have weeks without having a skill running ...
... and it does not matter in the slightest, because I'm not missing anything!

so if you had say 3-4 skills you needed to train, all prereqs already met

you would put them in no particular order?

Depends on what I want/need.

I generally arrange them shortest to longest, unless there is something I am really focusing on that takes priority.

I'm also loving the new queues because I often have long periods where I cannot access the client to add skills to it. Now I can just queue up for a couple of months at a time and not have to worry about it. Thanks CCP.

Generally I buy the skill books, right click, and select train on all the them. Then I open up my skill queue and add each skill to the end of the queue 3 more times in the order I think I might need the skills. Until you get to to the harder to train skills it's always a good idea to train to 4 level. The exception is if you are trainning into a new skill set for immediate use for example just learning gun skills, missile skills, drone skills or learning a racial ship type then you might want to train to level 3 in all skill before training to level 4. As a low skilled character almost never train a skill to level 5 unless you need it to train another skill, make ship fitting work, or it's something you are always using .

PS- Get some implants to increase the attributes linked to the skills you are training. Even if you are poor there will some implants you can afford. Of course if you pvp a lot and don't have jump clones you should skip implants.

Prerequisites stacked first. When the last prerequisite is done, a Google spreadsheet reading from my API will alert me and I will inject all remaining skillbooks. The leftover skills are lined up levels 1-4 1-4 1-4 with the level 5s stacked at the bottom.

Google spreadsheets also alert me when my queue dips below 45 queued skills so I can add some more..

I'm really quite obsessive about this..

I usually just get behind the last person and wait my turn. Sometimes when the person behind me gets uppity, I just turn around and remind them that the people ahead of him/her have been waiting longer then they have, and you don't hear them complaining, and that usually shuts them up, or at least makes them reflect on their conduct. I tend to give the person ahead of me a little bit of room. I know I hate it when people crowd me for like no reason, so I like to be courteous and not do that.

I try to make sure that the skills listed in my queue are generally unrelated and show no real focus. I tend to change everything after my currently training thing at least three times a week so far.

I arrange my skills in an efficient way, not in a way comparable to OCD.

I queue the most important groups of skills, and skills in those groups shortest to longest. It generally depends on what I'm trying to specialise into, but with relatively low SP most skills are important.

I queue whatever skills, but if I have a lot of short ones, I try to put a longer (3-5 day) skill so it starts before the (possible) patch time on Tuesdays and ends on Wednesday. Just in case I, or CCP, have trouble patching.

Min/max and train everything I'll need on the current map to 5.

I have characters with 30 skills trained and 25M SP that have never undocked.

That said, most of the characters I use for the game have been long ago trained to the point where they don't need any more SP. The only ones training are going on the market and I know exactly the skills I need for each and how long they'll take to train everything to 5. And since they are for sale, I can train, say, four race frigate skills and missiles for six months before I remap for supports.

I set my queue for each map in some random order that ends with everything at 5. Doesn't really matter since the end result is the same.

Train up prerequisites for T1/meta modules first, then to T2, then push everything to level 4 in shortest to longest (unless there's a mandatory skill I need at level 5). After that I start a new skill group and repeat.

Level 5 is generally saved for when I need it as a prerequisite or I really, REALLY want it.
