Greetings, can someone point me to the correct documentation on correctly configuring POS security?

For example how to give corp members access to laboratories without giving anyone the keys to the kingdom.

No, but I can direct you to the correct forum area where you can get help with POS stuff:

English is not my primary language; it is difficult to convey sarcasm or maybe it was lost during an edit of my opening post ;)

As for the correct thread; general discussion is the correct one as I am hoping this thread can become one.

We have had many changes this year yet POS and corporation security still are as horrible as they were years ago no?

Oh no, no, it's not about language, it's just that the POS code is a horrible disaster and the corporation interface is barely documented and counter intuitive.

You could start here: Starbase

But yes, setting up a POS and configuring the roles can be...tiresome. And I can assure you CCP is very much aware of that.

I can deal with tiresome, at least for a while, but some things just aren't possible and that is verry annoying.

Know of any way we can get this "user story" up on their/someone's SCRUM board? ;)

I watched some of the latest o7 and it seems, they'll finally start working on it in 2015. Which is just 2 years after the big threadnought in Jita Park started.

Remove standings and insurance.

I would suggest downloading the CSM IX summer summit minutes and reading the chapter on Starbases (page 111) as that is the most recent information on the matter that has been made public by CCP apart from the above mentioned o7 show.

In other words, it is on the agenda.

There is very little actual documentation on the subject. Most POS knowledge has been passed down through elders and medicine men in the form of interpretive dance, colorful fingerpainting Pictionary and ritualistic chicken sacrifices,

There were once a set of stone tablets with POS info written on them, but eventhough they were blue with +10 standings the POS guns shot them, and now the knowledge inscribing upon them is lost.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Yeah, but we no wanna discuss POS security in General Discussion. We want to discuss generals.
