The cloaked structure I found disappeared after 24hrs. Only the beacon is left.

I say 24hrs because i found it when i logged on and visited again roughly the same time next day. Anyone else have the same?

Where are those structures? Around jove space or everywhere in the cluster?

They're popping up all over New Eden right now. There were at least two that showed up today in my region.

On a sidenote I have to say that I'm really enjoying these strange phenomena. It's really re-kindled interest in the lore behind Eve, something that I think has been on the backburner for a long time. I hope CCP continues to emphasize these lore inspired events in the future.

So what we know is that CCP has taken in-game objects, re-skinned them, written words, and called it content.

Earth shattering and unexpected.

Do we think this will result in:

New modes of gameplay?

New careers?

Force new strategies?

Add new playable faction?

Change character creation?

Unfortunately people belief in the "player created content" myth too much. And based on past failures we have lowered the bar that CCP has to cross over to get excited. I am waiting for one of the ships to be blown up and leave a futuristic Panda corpse floating in space.

I saw one in Fountain region yesterday. It seems like there was a malfunction in structure cloaking, still cloaked but something is not going right there. I saw it's shape, there was some strange electric discharges around it. Jovians supposed to be experts in cloaking devices, right?
So:
-there was a incident in "jove space", some sort of cataclysm, unknown nature
-cloaking devices around jove structures suddenly stop working properly due to above
-what happend to jovians? dead? alive? on edge of extinction?

Going further with that though did anyone visit the remains of the new eden wormhole ?
If i remember correctly from my time reading the books there where some cloaked earth artifacts scattered around that Wh.

I think Jade Falcons would have a conceptual problem with their batchcall practice of bidding the smaller force as possible to a fight in eve... they would get blobed to hell and toasted.

Why everyoen keep saying jovians? There is nothign to support that, they are likely dead and gone. These are clearly romulans!

Should we be looking at the name for a clue? I don't think the name was drawn at random by the CCP computers.

Now, that's somehow what I observed.
My journey startet in Muer/Everyshore, I scanned for the new scattered Wormholes and found one. I am sure there has been an Unidentified Structure in Muer when I entered the scattered Wormhole.
Once inside the wormhole the entry quickly collapsed but a new connection to Yeder/Tash Murkon opened - and in Yeder there is an Unidentified Structure.
I rushed back to Muer - no Unidentified Structure.

Somehow I feel like those structures mark entry systems to the shattered wormholes.
Unfortunately I've seen some systems (Leremplombes as an example) having an Unidentified Structure but no signatures at all.

My (humble) research supports the theory of these structures being somehow linked to wormholes in the same system. It is also possible that the structure persists in a system after the wormhole connection has died (of age or by players collapsing it).

I'm curious if those structures may act like a cyno to shattered wormhole connections enableing them to establish a K162 into known space... some kind of lightning conductor... only working while their cloaking device is having a malfunction.

If we can't interact with them there should be another reason for them to exist... won't be decoration only.

I approached such a beacon. Nearby another unidentified structure with no beacon.

Locked the unidentified structure. Shoot at it. A bright light was all what happens at the hit.
Stayed additional 5 minutes there - just bored.
Suddenly 5 sleeper drones around me and ... the unidentified structure I shooted at was gone...
The beacon is still there.

upon visiting the new eden system there is a US present with the usual 4 cardican. however nothing else of interest has apeared in that system. No change in the collapsed wormhole statis, and the only wormhole ther today led to low sec, yesterday after the new sleepers and their cloaked strucutre appeared it was null sec

Maybe the implication is that they "travel" using those wormholes?

I think so.
If those structures can be used as cynos to establish focused wormhole connections (instead of randomly spawning without knowing where it will end) I'm curious to find out whether Sansha Kuvakei found out how to use/access them long ago or not.

My theory, the events are connected obviously:

Unidentified cloacked structures are Jove research labs.

Sansha, who build wormhole generator, stole the crucial informations from Jove, who earlier stumbled upon it in their hidden stations researching Talocan ruins in New Eden,
Sansha know now that their secret system lies in ruins. That was Caroline's star. Thats why they stopped incursions and used gates, their base is in ruins.

Caroline's Star is event similar to Seylin incident.

Caroline's Star was Sansha base, located in wormhole opened always by Sansha wormhole generator, and it was used as their secret military base of great significance. Probably system was even bigger than Thera. With a lot of fuel stored for wormhole generator. It blowed up on accident or was blowed up by someone intentionally.

Communication with Thera that is near it, was stopped by the explosion.

Talocans knew how to open wormholes as passage to other worlds (I think that because they were masters in noneuclidean mathematics and spatial manipulation), to shorten the path to the systems that are very far away. Every event like Seylin accident accidentally creates passages to systems where Talocans journeyed by wormhole generator in ancient times, and where abandoned mechanisms or ruins still point.

Seekers, knowing that new wormholes were created, knowing that they can be attacked from more sides, started gathering intel, some stumbled upon the failing Jove structures.
