"sight seeing" should be done in real time and in-game rather than only seeing glimpses of the most beautiful places in the game through trailers or youtube. including epic pvp fights.

my suggestion is a new type of "scanner probe" that you can send out within a solar system, they will instantly provide a visual for you so you can view the most interesting things in local right away.

"sight seeing spots" in the system as well as any "epic fights" currently going on in system.

You will not be able to warp to any of the probes or be able to see the names of the gates/stations the fight is happening in (because the signals are jammed or something)

only a simple camera with a zoom so you can watch the fight happening from different angles depending on how many probe cameras are on grid.

as soon as the probes are in position, just click "look at" on each of the probes and they will take you to different locations, you will view the probe in third person (like you normally do when you click "look at")

if somebody is a criminal or suspect you can right click his ship and "warp to at 0km"

Ngah .. I don't have the energy to be creative about this.

No.

Because this is the 30-40th time I've seen this.

Perhaps a new ship that is not only a ship with fast auto pilot capability(perhaps warps to 0), but also, is essentially a Pod.

The Ship cannot be targeted - is immune to bubbles - and has a built in scanner that pin points everything in a system to be warped to

Limitations - You cannot leave this ship... It is essentially a jump clone in and of itself, so the only way to get in or out of this ship is to actually jump clone into the ship, possibly effected by jump clone cool down time.

This would be cool for new players, and even old players to explore WH and null space.
When popping up in local, the player name would be highlighted in a manner that would express the fact that he's in one of these ships. (IE - not scaring the crap out of anyone in system that thinks you're there to kill them)

As far as keeping players from using these for intel gathering..... That's a bit difficult..
Perhaps make it a bannable offense?
Not really sure how to avoid that....

Some other ideas for traits on this

Cannot create bookmarks
You show up on local, even in WH systems flagged as mentioned above
NPCs won't even attempt to target you (allowing players to sit back and watch PVE events that would normally kill them, IE null sec plexes and WH sleeper sites)

I'm still trying to find a way to keep players from using it as an intel gathering device..
If it weren't for TS3, i'd say just lock them out of all in game communication... but, as mentioned, TS3 jacks that up....

Not Sarcastic, just wishful thinking.

I'd love to be able to explore all parts of space without risk of being shot at.
Going and watching players run null sec plexes, Watching an alliance battle from right in the middle of everything, watching an incursion without being part of it, etc. etc. etc....

You know.. just enjoying all aspects of Eve without a care in the world.

Unfortunately, the innate nature of Eve and it's players is that anything and everything that can be taken advantage of, will be taken advantage of...

Kinda like back in the day when experienced players used to bait noobs and then blow them up all the time.
Now, that's a ban-able offense in starter systems..... I almost got banned for that, though that rule wasn't in effect when I was a noob....

Wouldn't that be hollow as **** though?

And you can still flip nubeis, just not in those systems(obligatory : don't be a knob about it when you do).

Yet another bad idea from OP.

-1.0x10^1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 for trying to remove player interaction.

I would especially love to use this to see the new shattered WH system, especially the massive one with NPC stations, as i'll likely never get to see it in person any other way, without being blown up...

Side note, a person in this vessel can not be warped to while in a fleet, nor can the ship be detected by probes.
That, coupled with not be able to set bookmarks, means this ship can't be used as a quick and easy scan boat..

Wrong... This would actually lead to more player interaction.
new/inexperienced players would be able to roams, come into missions, incursions, sleeper sites, etc. etc. etc. in or to learn new things without hendering the actual fleet with low sklls and/or low knowledge.

Edit... also, this ship wouldn't not be recognized in a manner that could cause decloak..
IE, you can't use it to try and break a cloak camp..

2nd Edit...

Oh, and it doesn't effect ship travel... it can't bump, and bumping into it will push it out of the way, without changing the course of the charging ship....
so feel free to bump this ship into oblivion without effect your own trajectory...

ALTERNATIVELY: you can send out these new type of scanner drones during a battle that is happening on grid with you. those probes will automatically zoom in on different enemy ships and stay centered on them while zoomed in. All you have to do is click "one magic button" and you can quickly browse through all your probes on grid and get a sense of what sort of weapons the enemy is carrying, who is shooting who etc etc.

true, but improving the visual aspect of the game is highly important for a spaceship game, this is fairly low commitment from ccp compared to other potential ideas the way i see it. the staying zoomed out 90% of the fight just feels wrong in the end no matter how much you justify it, its a spaceship game but where the heck is the ship during the fights?? does one really have to compromize his safety in order to get a nice visual on some spaceships up close

Why not just use the Look at function, or alt-click on the ships.
