This is so I can buy one of those HI-RES monitors? I forget the specs, but like this?

4K, 3840 x 2160 Resolution (UHD)

Any progress on this?

I play EVE on 4608x2048 and 5400x1920 resolutions and I would rather like to have proper size textures to go with the resolution.

Cmon, how hard can this be? Make an optional download/installer which adds a tickbox into your option for higest res textures. Hell, if you must sell the damn texture pack in EVE Store at some low enough cost that covers the transfer fees on your side. Surely you are already using internally higher res textures than which we are getting. Just package them and hack a tickbox into options. Claim that it's beta and you have no idea if it really works, but damnit, I want my high res textures!

Just upgraded to two GTX970. If before this it wasn't demanding, than now it's like they wont turn on...

Now with the PBR shading coming up in Rhea, a lot of the older textures are really showing their age. I do feel though that we'll be seeing higher resolution textures all round sooner rather than later due to this rapid release cycle and the upcoming eye candy!

Don't kid yourselves. Even the dirtiest pirates from the birth of EVE have been carebears. They use alts to bring them goods at cheap prices and safely, rather than live with consequences of their in game actions on their main, from concord to prices

12 EVE accounts in window mode at max settings running off a single gpu and I get around 80fps on all the client's... how can you be getting low fps unless your running eve on a smartphone


Back to OP:
Id realy like to see a 4k texture pack simple for pvp videos and to make eve look more like a space combat emulator when you do the legendary CRT+F9 key combo lol

As long as it's optional I'm all for it. Right now I play on a cruddy laptop that would burst into flames if I tried to turn the graphics up to medium.
