Faction Battleship Blueprints

Been a while since I built small ships, but it's always nice to have some in the hangar for quick ISK.

So I headed off to Jita to buy a bunch of faction BS BPs and they were way cheap. Nearly half of what I paid last time I bought a bunch.

I'm not complaining mind you, just curious as to why this is.

Since you people seem to have your fingers on the pulse of buying and selling, I thought I ask in here. What's changed that the market seems to be flooded with the old standbys? The Vindicators, Rattlesnakes, Machariels and Nightmares. I can't remember the last time I saw so many BPs for them on the market at such a low price.

At least from the Vindicator perspective, they were ~1.1 bill/bpc last year-ish. Changes to the anomaly spawns made them less attractive (something to do with frigates) for power ratting, and Fountain fell in the hands of people who could competently farm it. So lots more supply, not as much demand for them specifically. Sort of a shame as a single Vindi BPC could fuel pvp for like a month, and now its half that value.

In a more general sense, battleships are in an awkward place right now. They don't really die often enough in incursions or mission running to fuel demand, and they just aren't fielded frequently outside of these situations. There was almost certainly a point when the Gila BPC probably sold higher than the rattlesnake.

It seems with the increased escalation of anomalies, more supply is also being added.

Vote Vic Jefferson for CSM X.....XI.....XII?

See, that's what I'm talking about. I just bought 10 for well under 600m each.

I'm hoping that with this six week expansion cycle that things will change sooner than later and we'll see them back up to reasonable prices again in the near future. CCP has been doing a pretty good job so far of turning EVE on it's head with some of these changes. Maybe drop rates will be up for review in one of the coming ones.

They changed the escalation rate on anomolies so everyone is getting a ton more escalations and hence more BPCs.

Not today spaghetti.

It's also a period of relative quiet in sovereign nullsec. So there is more ratting going on.

This increases both the amount of ISK in the economy, and also the amount of pirate faction BPCs in existance, but the latter effect is more significant.
