Moon brackets won't go away.

I submitted a bug report, but I thought I might as well post and see if anyone else is having this problem.

On some of my characters, I see the brackets for moons even if they are turned off in the overview settings.

Here is a screenshot showing the settings set to turn moons off, yet they are still there. I loaded the "PVE BRACKS" setting into the overview as well as the bracket selection part. The moons do NOT show on the overview, just in space.

I found a character with my overview settings set up properly without the bug, and tried to import them to the character having the problem. However, I accidentally did it the other way around and now both characters are experiencing this bug. I think I found a 3rd character that isn't having this bug, but the settings are a bit outdated. I might try and update them manually and export, to see if that helps.

If i try to "hide all brackets" the moons are still there. Every overview tab has moons turned off, yet they still appear in all of them.

I've actually had this problem for a very long time. I have no idea when it started. I think I've even reinstalled windows a few times since I started having it.

I took a look at the xml file and the typeID for moons is no where to be found. (it's 14 btw)

Sadly I do not have any other solution then to clear the settings and start from scratch to try and fix this issue. Instructions how to do this can be found here, unless you have a character that is working and you can restore/import a working overview from.

However, could you please file a petition about this issue under Technical / Graphics Issues and please include an export of the overview settings from one of the broken characters, so we can hopefully see what is wrong with the overview to cause this issue.

Ok, I got a response from BH.

They say it's not a bug, it's a "feature."

They said to hit ALT-SHIFT-X, which is bound to "Toggle Special Bracket Display." Whatever the f--- that is supposed to be.

Well, it worked.

No idea what that option is supposed to be for, I must have turned it on by accident some time ago.

Doesn't really explain why importing overview settings from one of the "broken" characters would toggle that feature on. The XML export has many things in it, but not that.
