I have been playing eve for many many years and one thing, as a nul sec industrialist that has always bothered me is the lack of Ice harvesting drones.

The logic behind them is simple: there are drones for everything, litterly everything, but ice harvesting. Which is weird.

To balance it, i`d say make heavy drone, takes up the same space as 5 ore harvester (small) drones and also bandwith so you could fly only 1.

Then have it bring in 1 ice block every 5 minutes.

that way it takes off 1 cycle to fill up a skiff, or 2 for a mackinaw.

balancing would just mean making its speed and cycle time in a way that it would cut off 1 cycle to fill up, that puts it in line with what the harvester II drones do for mining asteroids (6-7% more yield).

Why not, right? makes sense?

Tbh if they were gonna do something like this I'd hope they'd divide Ice into smaller blocks so Venture/Prospect as well.

But sure, why not.

I would like to see Ice blocks cut down to ice cubes. Each cube would be 1 m3, and it would take 1000 cubes to refine. Then we could introduce Ice Miners and Ice Harvesting Drones that could be fit on any ship (Including the Venture/Prospect). The other great thing about doing this is you can cut your cycle short and still get some product instead of being tied down so hard to the end of your cycle.

Lowering the average to make you look better since 2012.
