I sometimes have to change between characters 3-4 times in a row and it is really annoying that I cannot do that without exiting Eve completely. Can you guys please bring back the logout function or something similar? So we can change without having to restart Eve?

I agree on this one. Having to exit game, and reenter the account to change the character is pretty stupid.

If you launch from the .exe file and logout you never quite exit the client.

It's not really the same but eh

The logout function was removed because it never worked in the first place. And it never worked in the first place because the back-end code was never designed to perform that function. What the system actually does is create a unique connection ID based on the character you use (ie. once you are in you are in).

Now, a few years back they said they toyed with idea of rewriting the code (in the CSM minutes) but the sheer amount of effort required to save players a few extra seconds was just not worth it.
